Benoit Paire may be the last of the “true villains“ of today’s ATP tour. Talented player who can for about forty minutes can hang with the best on the tour.But is a moody Bastard that isn’t interested in being a champion.

Nah.. the bad news from home is FatherTime who is chasing Roger’s body like a lighted flame chasing vapors from a gasoline can. the man is almost 40 years old..Roger has to most likely need to reduce his schedule significantly to be fresh for the slams.IMO

It’s not odd at all, in fact I was expecting it. Federer basically at this point will be supporting laver cup as he helped create it and is endorsing it, he will not also be endorsing davis cup and atp cup. If it were up to him he’d rather $ee laver cup continue on and completely replace davis/atp cup.

I thought I heard he was playing more lucrative exhibitions around the globe! I think $8 M was the number bandied about! Not totally mercenary I'm sure! Some will probably benefit victims in some way! I just haven't kept up with the current behind the scenes news of late!

I think he said this awhile back. Says he'll come back at DelRay Beach, which is a bit of a deja vu, I think. He's staged his comeback there at least once before, IIRC.

The AO just released his withdrawl about one hour ago on Twitter,maybe it is a more formal announcement.
