I hope Serena makes a better showing this final than she did in her two last year. I was so disappointed in how she came out in both of those finals. The one with Kerber no fight or really emotion or desire there, and the one with Osaka just a really bad attitude.

Well Serena isn’t going to get too many opportunities with the WTA rounding out nicely and any top tier player is fodder these days because the tour has really stepped it up, so she has to go out and give it everything when she finds herself in finals.

She wrote a letter to a magazine where she apologized to Osaka for her behavior at the USO. She said she went to see a psychologist after that match.

I was traveling to the sea side of the country and couldn't watch women semis. Looks like both matches were pretty much straight forward. I just expected more fight from Svitolina to be honest.

I will be very surprised if Serena doesn't win. Halep is a great fighter and I like her, but I don't think she has enough weapons to beat Serena on grass.

If there really is bad blood between them, Serena is letting her racquet do the talking. She is handing out a British beatdown today. I do seem to remember she had something to say at the handshake in a match against Venus one time. Venus was like you talking to me? LOL :lulz2:
Strycova was very critical of Serena afster the Open and she had a lot of thinks to say about the incident. She also had an incident with Venus...all of the Czechs had choice words after the Open and were all supporting Ramos..
Halep is also going to get the same treatment because she is getting mouthy about Serena ...a lot.

I always thought Halep was very fair whenever anyone asked her questions about Serena. I haven’t ever heard her really be critical of Serena. Maybe I am wrong.

Did you enjoy yourself?

This is a part of our usual summer trip, we visit our parents down south, they get to see the kid and us and all that. We usually stay for about 3 weeks and go to beach every day morning and afternoon, sometimes a full day and we visit different places.

Do we enjoy? Yes we do. I mean it's for free, tourists pay a lot of money to be here with their summer vacation bookings.

But do we lack comfort because we have to "suffer" having the parents around? Yes we do. Hopefully we will be able to afford something for ourselves in the future and get that comfort part sorted out. At least that's the plan, you never know what life brings.

That's brilliant.

I'm glad you enjoy your holidays.

I hope so for you. It's nice being with family but it's also nice to have your own freedom & privacy. Very true. Life is full of surprises. You can never take anything for granted.

A few weeks ago we booked a few days to have privacy. Nice apartment in the house with a lovely swimming pool outside. The first night 5y old kid got a stomach virus and vomitted all over the place. Can't take anything for granted as you said. He almost detroyed my laptop while I was posting here lol. Couldn't eat, couldn't swim as his body temp was high and pool water he felt like cold. Last day he gathered some energy and pushed himself to go in the pool. He did a few jumps, he said record me and take pictures of me. After a few mins he said I'm done, I''ll be on the video.

Life is fun, just depends from which side you look at it.

Good idea! I'm just sorry it didn't turn out right & hope your son is better now.

Life can be fun or it can be hard. Like you said, sometimes it just depends on how you look at things.

^ As to the surface, this is excellent: Asked about if the grass was playing slower, she said...I'm really the wrong person to ask. I'm from Compton, and everything is amazing.
