She could when she was younger, but not anymore...I think you're right.

Still. As Evert said. Halep won that match. It wasn't just that Serena lost it. All credit to Halep.

Yeah. I mean I think it's part of why Fed played the clay this year. He, for one, needed the ranking points. But 2, clay helps your game. And I think he wanted a tune up.

There's no taking away from Halep winning. But if we're talking about what Serena can do, that's another topic

The clay is taxing. But I mean. We see what it's done for Halep. Sure, the draw broke down, on both sides. But she did what she needed to and was the best player all tournament.

I know, it's all a road to come back...and I do want her to get 24 and the post-baby Major. Takes time.

Yeah. I'm glad the knee is feeling better. Because hopefully she'll be able to get some matches under her belt in Canada and/or Cincy.

Yeah. Ya know Moxie. I think I care more about it being a post baby major than it being #24.

I'm not sure she can get to number 1 ever again though. I'm not sure she wants to play enough to do that. So I don't think she'll join Goolagong on that.

No one has had a baby and came back to win a major at 37. Kim was in her 20s

well who would fear her when she shows up lame in these finals. They're probably licking their chops when they see her in the final
