The mandatory premieres generate alot of interest, but still not as much as a slam

Well. It's so useful for the slams to follow the tour all year. We couldn't have seen Andreescu coming if we weren't watching Indian Wells or Toronto. Same with Osaka last year. And Stephens in 2017 (semis at Canada and Cincy).
