Look, if the forecast is right, Nadal will have no advantage. If Friday is a wash out, he will play back to back his last 2 matches.
Novak would play tomorrow, and if he wins on Saturday and Sunday. I think Novak will take both Zverev and Thiem by the way.

Umm the way it's looking the winner of Nadal-Federer is playing 3 matches in 6 days whereas the other finalist is 3 in 4. A huge advantage. Now if Friday gets washed out it is a bit more fair as both play back to back days. I'm hoping Friday isn't washed out, best chance for the evil to be vanquished is a damp and cloudy day.

^looking at the weather forecast it's going to be damp cloudy and slightly cooler, so it's looking really really good :)

I recently found out from an ESPN article that there is a reason as to why Sasha was having bad results in recent past.
Apparently, he was dealing with multiple personal issues.

1. He terminated his relationship with his girlfriend.
2. His father was having some health issues.
3. He changed the company that manages him.
4. Apparently, his break-up with his ex-manager is not amicable and involves some courts cases.

With multiple personal issues bothering him simultaneously, no wonder he was not able to concentrate on court
and obtained poor results in the recent past. Apparently, he has now deal with all of them or at least got a handle on
all of them and is ready to get back on track.

Having said all that, I am not going to change my vote. I still maintain that Novak will win it in three.

However, I believe during the rest of the year, Sasha will perform much better than in the first half.

Thanks for sharing. I see him also doing much better for the rest of the season. I am hoping for a new slam winner this year USO.

We werent boring, Giro d'Italia just finished. Last weeks was great in Dolomites. Loclas served us with Italian pasticeria. But weather this year is really strange all over Europe. RG doesnt have roof, so weather-impact will be good/bad for someone. Novak will win Zverev, since Russian didnt show much.

Switched to this match after the first set was done in the other. Never seen Zverev playing with that intensity. Not even close. If that is the "new Zverev", he is a threat to number 1. Just one game though.

Zverev breaks. Djokovic looks uninterested. Back to the other match...

That was a very lousy game from Novak, but he managed to break back, now 6:5

Changed back to catch the last DF of the set. 7-5 Djokovic. So much for the Zverev intensity...

Novak sealed the first. Zverev served for tb, goes from 15:40 to deuce. Misses overhead and makes a DF. Great ending after serving for the set a few mins earlier

Zverev played an excellent first set of tennis but didn’t win it. Djokovic played more solidly towards the end of the first set.

If the brat cannot serve for the set and win against an uninterested Djoke, he can forget it. Will get rolled in straight sets. :spank2:

Following the scores while I watch the other match. Zverev scored a point in the first three games...

I think Zverev under-eats. He has to eat a bit more to bulk up.
