Milos looked very flat to me,strange because his previous match was not a long one, compared to Pouille.
Nice to see a Frenchman in the s/finals,also congrats to Amelie for doing a fine coaching job.

From sets 2 to 4, Lucas Pouille was dialed in mentally. He never showed frustration even with all those missed break points he just went back to work. Now, that’s you win matches in majors. If he can somehow show that same mental resilience against Djokovic, it will be a FUN match. Also, BIG credit to Amelie Mauresmo! She changed Pouille’s mentality in the offseason. You could tell Pouille is all business right now.

Milosh must have done something wrong prior to this match, for much of it he was serving in the 40%’s.....really bad for him. Considering how well he served vs Zverev it was a big surprise how he just lost form like that. Also his volley was very poor, disappointing performance from him.

Pouille's return game especially in the last set was amazing. He was doing a great job at returning even the missiles and then quickly putting himself in winning position in the ensuing short rallies.

When a relatively one dimensional big serving power player like Raonic plays someone who’s game can be fluid and free flowing, their weaknesses are exposed.

However Pouille like so many middle tier players can’t keep it up consistently, but it’s a sight to behold when he’s on.
