^ Watched many a quality match with Nicolas--a helluva competitor and one of the mightiest one-handed backhands in the game during his best years. He hung tough and made the top guys work hard. !Muchas bendiciones Nico!

I liked Almagro. While his backhand is well known, he also has a fairly decent serve. I think he reached QF or better at RG more than once. Unfortunately, he gets eventually bulldozed by the bull.

Players like Almagro & David Ferrer are only entertaining to me when going up against Djokovic playing "human backboards!" I've seen them playing well, getting to all kinds of shots, & making great "get," but in the end they still go down in flames in straight sets; mostly not even competitive!

I distinctly remember one RG in which Nico was playing tremendously and then faced Ralph in QF (I think) and lost very badly, while everybody kind of expected it to be a decent match (of course, nobody expected Nico to win).
