Final 8:

Ebden v Baghdatis
Harrison v Chung
Isner v M.Zverev
Kyrgios v Norrie

Good run for Cameron Norrie (currently Brit #2) but I'd like to see Nick take the title here. Norrie has travelled around a bit. Both his parents are Brits (Welsh and Scottish), he was born in SA, moved to New Zealand (and represented NZ as a junior) before returning to the UK.

I want Cameron to win.

I would not call a second wind a 2 match winning streak in a 250 event.
If he would win this whole event, I may agree.
Exactly. This is a guy who made a final of a Major years ago. What's his story, btw? Was it injuries, or what?

I see only the scores, but Nick lost the first, then retired 3-0 down in the 2nd. Anyone know what happened?

Nick retired with a hip injury and was booed off court.

I liked Cameron's game, attacking and got into the net regularly. Nick looked a bit disinterested from the get-go.

Ryan Harrison brings Cameron Norrie's run to an end, prevailing 2/6 6/3 6/2.

Isner saw off Ebden in 3 (6/4 6/7 6/1) and will compete for his fifth title in six years.

Isner leads the H2H 7-3 - all Harrison's wins coming on hards.

Don't know why Tennis Channel has blacked out the Atlanta tournament. I'll hope that Harrison brings the upset.

The commies keep saying Big JOhn is injured. But, after losing first set, he won the second and is a break up in third.

Big John wins and becomes five time Atlanta winner, joining Pete, Connors, Agassi and JMac as the fifth American to win the same tourney five times or more.

For those who missed the match, you did a great job. I would also recommend you skip the highlight videos unless you want to see couple dozen aces flowing by.

Thanks for the recap. I gotta admit, I couldn't work up any interest. Thanks also for reconfirming why a lot of the courts have been slowed down, and carpet was ditched: people don't like too much of one-strike tennis. Without rallies, there's no drama.
