It wouldn't shock me if this was a 5 setter. Edmund is growing literally on a match by match basis. He hits big, really big and has a great mentality. I expect Dimi to win, but I think it'll be tough. Primarily because I haven't yet become confident that Grigor knows how to take care of the matches he should win in a business like manner

Grigor in 4. I think Kyle has already overachieved by reaching 4th round. It is difficult to imagine he winning again even though GD can slip any time.

...hmmmm. I like Dimitrov and on paper he is the big favorite, but I think this is almost a coin toss. He is playing well, sure, but losing when he is supposed to win would fit him just perfectly (unfortunately). And, as my fellow posters noticed, Edmund seems to be playing really well.

I saw some bits of Edmund matches here and there in 2017 and he is indeed a good player. One I saw almost full was against Donaldson, and he lost this match while he was playing better and dictating play. Once Donaldson found the right measure of defense without being overly passive, Edmund self-destruct. He probably is more matured now, let's see how Dimitrov approaches the match.

I like Edmund. He is out there trying to make things happen. Not always the smartest shot selection but I like the attitude. Got the first set.

I don't have the experienced eye that most here have, but is it just me or is Kyle Edmund a bit like Jack Sock as a player? He just reminds me of Sock.

GD evened it up. After the third crucial set, I will go to bed and assume whoever wins that will win the match.

There's an interesting tension to this match in that Edmund is pretty much maxed out and really pushing Dimitrov but can't quite get through, while Grigor is not playing his best but slowly building back up (his serve, mainly).

Edmund really needs this set. If he doesn't win it, I expect Grigor will take it in four.

I really didn't think Edmund had it in him. Great effort. I still give Grigor the edge, but he's going to have to work hard.

Let's say Edmund wins, and Sandgren somehow make it to the final...imagine the shitstorm when Rafa wins the AO by beating Edmund and then Sandgren.
