Konta will think she can beat Venus here because she's won matches against her on other surfaces. Hopefully Venus puts her in her place. B-)

I thought british crowd appreciates tennis. It is terrible to shout during any point, let alone on match point. :lol6:

anyway Halep has herself to blame...she had the match on her racket and choked in that second set tiebreak...

I was hoping to get back to see the end of this match. Heard about the MP. That's a shame.

So Pliskobot gets the #1 rank by default. Which means she really didn't want it either because she didn't even have to win any matches here to get it. And poor Kerbie who was playing like her life depended on it couldn't keep the #1 spot. Funny how it can mean different things to different people.

I wonder how long Cahill will stay as a coach with Halep, they already had a short parting of the ways recently, when he thought she was not fighting enough in her games. She had the match on her racquet today, she has only herself to blame.

he should abandon her because she gives up too easily and no fight at all. This match was on her racket and she kept that door open when she failed to close out that second set..

Are we starting another period in time with a #1 who hasn't won a Slam...:-(
