I can't believe still after to win that year and also 2010 why Rafa played so badly after :negative:

It's not merely a matter of Rafa playing so badly after 2010. 2011 he made the final and Djokovic was well in his head. 2012 Rosol, it should be remembered, played the match of his career, before or since. And it was a bit of bad luck that they decided to preventively close the roof after the 4th set, which Rafa won, and when he had the momentum. The delay was about 45 minutes. 2013: Darcis was a fluke, since Rafa had been winning much up until that point. 2014 Kyrgios also played one of the matches of his career to date. And Dustin Brown was the wrong guy to start with when his confidence was in the toilet, anyway. I know some folks like to say that Rafa struggles in the first week at Wimbledon before the grass gets beaten down. This is not wholly true. His footwork is very good, and he's really fast. After his knees became an issue, however, he struggled more to get low to the ball on grass. It's not that mysterious, and there has been some bad luck involved, in terms of draw, and hot players on a good day for them. But the effect has also been cumulative in terms of confidence.

Yep, I remember well, Rosol played well but right after it was when Rafa had to choose to be through an intensive treatment with his knee or his career would be finished for ever. Kyrgios and his 37 aces....he lost the next match and he never has been able to repeat that service...maybe this year?. But against Darcis and Brown was a awful surprise, I've never understood why Rafa lost those matches

Darcis is just "shit happens." Stakhovsky beating Federer was one of those, and even more of a surprise. @brokenshoelace called Dustin Brown out as a potential banana peel last year. Frankly, Rafa was losing to everyone last year. Why not to a guy who had already beaten him on grass?

I know. I kept seeing the ticker, but they were only saying that Kohlschreiber was the first seed out, but I never saw who beat him. Good win fro Hughes-Herbert. If I remember correctly I like his game. Still hate to see Kohli go though. I like him.

Pierre Hugues Herbert is one of the top doubles players in the world pairing with Mahut. He has a good serve and nice volley. Still an upset, but not as much if you know how the young man plays. One would guess Kohli might be a little tired too.
