Roger said in the presser: "Cilic brushed me aside in 2014 USO like I am nothing". It is so true and the very fact that he is able to say so openly makes me feel good about tomorrow's match.

It should be Cilic, but Federers ability to defy age and youth is legendary. He'll skate into the semis with nary a sweat broke.

Andy and Tsonga will have a battle royal...

Cilic is unpredictable, in a good day he can blast any player arouns but in a bad day...oh my, it's just awful (like Nole vs Querrey) so wait and see if Dr Cilic can play his best tennis

Well, he just lost the first set TB. Not the ideal start.

Roger is not beating Cilic today.

Cilic channeling Ivanisevic.

That, and power. Roger cannot handle power anymore. That/s why he will always have a chance against a guy like Murray or even Nole, but when a power guy like Cilic is playing well, it is not happening.

Yeah, at work here and depressed watching the scores. Even with full mobility, Roger would have a tough time if Cilic is serving well but given his hampered movement it's not likely he wins today :nono Hard to believe Cilic was the guy who beat him also in the 2014 USO when his main hurdle, Novak, was also gone :nono Hopefully Cilic's mum hasn't been shopping for him again before this tournament.

he was beaten by Nole the 2 last years...so I guess it was already too late in 2014 and 2015

Well this sucks. I just woke up and saw Fed down a set and a break. I watched a few points and Cilic looks dominant. But it also furthers the view that Roger really has a very narrow window of winning a Slam. Not only can he not beat the top player in a best of five, he can't seem to beat second tier players when they're playing their A games.

I hate to say it, but if he can't beat Cilic today, I think his chances of winning another Slam are pretty much gone.

Meanwhile, the missile is up 2 sets on Uncle Sam. Thinking Sam's little run ends here, but it's been a good tournament for him. He followed up his big win by dismissing Mahut.

Well, this is only the 2nd time since RG 2009 that a tournament has done it's own independent testing so hopefully Cilic's mum wasn't purchasing pre-tournament goodies for him again. Anyway, they usually only test the losing player :nono I actually like Cilic anyway but it's hard to forget he was doping and given no proper sentencing and then wins a slam to top it all off with a wry smile. That's the ITF for you! But that's just a coincidence.
