Doesn't matter if you are a top 5 player you should be able to hold your serve more than they are.

Halep is a head case

Kerber is no better watching that crap show on CC made me angry Serena lost to her in Australia.

So looks like it's Serena vs. Vesnina (?) and Venus vs. Kerber

Well at least Cibby can go get married on Saturday unencumbered.:clap

I expected a bit more from Cibby, but I guess she was really gassed from yesterday's match.

I wrote this on the other thread yesterday but it did hold true today more than ever.

Both sisters will have to play smart, serve big and keep their feet moving to force the younger generation of players to over hit and commit UFEs to reach the Finals again

I actually think Kerber would be the better out I don't think Serena wants to see Venus in the final as much as she loves her sister. Serena already has enough issues in finals without playing Venus on top of that.

She has a good chance as long as that serve continues to crank

I will say I don't think we will see an anger like we will if Serena makes it to the final and comes up short again.

Looks like the sisters get the day off tomorrow in doubles. Do they then have to play Thursday QF, Friday SF and Saturday F in doubles if they advance?

Same with Serena, She needs the serve to be cranking to have any opportunity because its too much to ask for a 34 and 36 year old ladies player to grind it out with 25 and 28 year olds, IMO

I don't know that Serena can't grind it out, but she hasn't made the necessary adjustments that Federer did with his age. Serena is such that she is formidable enough to be a force if she and Patrick come up with tactics to help her as she ages.

Halep and Cibby both should go stick their heads into the Thames River and while under the water they should Both say Hi to Sloane, she is probably still down there

Cut Cibby a little slack. She performed well past her ranking getting to R4 and taking out Aga. Plus that marathon match really did her in and how do we know she really didn't want to get married on Sat and not have to change her plans? Halep on the other hand is definitely a case.
