Venus Starr still not yet selected to play on CC this is borderline discrimination..hopefully this will motivate her to win.

Looking at today's schedule in isolation, the schedule does make sense. #4 seed playing #5 seed is expected to produce an interesting match rather than Venus beating up on an unseeded opponent.

Now, we have an unheralded opponent against whom Serena has a 5-0 H2H and Serena is playing third day in a row.

A pretty nice set up for a shock upset; don't you think so? :devil

grass is faster than clay so few days in succession will actually help Serena to keep sharp..there will not be an upset.Pavly is being coached by pova s former hitting partner...

I was not seriously expecting an upset. Just kidding. ;)

I think the ones to watch will be on court 1 and Kerber vs. Halep. I think this is where Halep needs to show something and get to the semis.

I think Kerbie wins this one. Halep is not that good on grass. She is better on clay.

p.s. I know why you are supporting Halep. ;)

Halep and Kerber play almost the same...Halep has a little more pop in her serve.

I don't know what the h2h is between them but I will favor Halep, she is a bit more aggressive at times

Doesn't matter if you are a top 5 player you should be able to hold your serve more than they are.

Kerbie must really want that #1 ranking. I don't know why. She couldn't handle the pressure of expectation after winning a single slam, how does she think she will do when it's expected week after week because you are the top ranked player.

Well I think Serena would do better against Kerber versus Venus in the final. Serena is already a bundle of nerves and nonsense in finals against people who hadn't won slams up until that point, so I can't imagine how she would do against Venus should Venus make the final.
