I don't know what Serena's problem is with breaking her opponents. I think I have seen Serena eff up more this year on break opportunities than I have her entire career.

No offense to McHale but she's a consummate choker. She's had any number of players on the ropes and always gives the lead up

Federer's been crap at break point conversion for years so it could be worse.

As you probably know, they have scheduled play on middle sunday. They have legitimate reasoning behind their scheduling.

They have scheduled 11 ladies singles matches on Saturday. 3 of them are second round matches that are long overdue. six of them are bottom half 3rd round matches. That is ok too, as bottom half goes first in ladies draw this year. Finally, in order to catch up, they have scheduled any 3rd round match that could be scheduled (without violating the basic constraint that you do not want to give any one player the advantage in the next round). Only two matches fit that description, that of Genie and that of Aga. So, they have scheduled those two.

If Serena were to play third round match tomorrow, that would be unfair. The reason is that Serena's potential opponent has not yet completed her second round match. That is why they did not schedule Serena.
