Still asking who called the trainer? :D

One you hate the most.

I don't hate anyone but I can imagine who was after to lose a set been part of his acting roll like many times has done, am I right? yes! what a #%€£!!!!!
I don't hate him but I feel the less/low admiration that I can have for a tennis player:dodgy:

It's a shame that Monfils instead to "try new tactics" have not tried to play as well like in his previous matches, it probably would have worked better for him :cover

Does anyone know how to distinguish between a Monfils who is trying to win and a Monfils who is tanking? Difficult problem, me thinks.

I don't care who he's playing but I'm not watching that tard Monfils ever again. Forget the talk of a $10,000 fine when he won $875,000 here, they should take ALL his prize money from the match against Novak from him as he's an absolute disgrace to the game of tennis.

It was a really strange match. Novak basically went up 5:1 40-0 by putting the ball in the court before Monfils' antics got to him and he gave away that game with three double faults and almost lost his next service game as well. I think Novak lost his calm during this period and the bizarre mixture of pushing, ballbashing, net-rushing and at times 138 mph second serves Monfils displayed until the start of the third set probably didn't help in getting it back.

Then Monfils suddenly started to play quite well for 30 minutes and took the set from a break down but as the conditions seemed really unpleasant to play in both looked somewhat spent by the fourth set but Novak had more left and cruised to victory.

I think because of the way Monfils player and acted it's hard to conclude a lot about the level Novak played at but he will probably be OK with not having had to spent more than 2 1/2 hours on court in this conditions so combined with the way he got to the SF he should be rather fresh for the final.

Haha, yeah, more or less! The bloke may tank, and call it "trying new tactics." I've seen him run away from matches too often to expect anything from him. I heard of dream draws before, but Nole had an absolutely non-existent path to the final...

Have not seen this match, because I did not check the schedule, thinking they start at 7PM like the women, DUH
Anyway, I learned Monfils did again some funky business, nothing new there.
I am just happy to see Novak in the finals.

Nah, this wasn't the same ole funky business , this time he went into a rope a dope routine that was ultra unprofessional . I don't think I have seen it since a lower level USTA match.. I said it during the chat box that was brilliantly hoisted by KS:clap..I am DONE watching Monfils.his excuse for tryin a different tactic was back door bush league at best. Gael just lost a fan:devil

^^ Gael had a fan? :snicker

The guy is extremely talented,,as a former tennis player it's hard not to imagine what he can do on the tennis court during a match , even the top pros stop what they are doing to see him play.

I get why he should be exciting, but I have never enjoyed watching him playing. This was just the worst example of his normal behavior IMO.

I think they're all able to do silly trick shots. They stop and watch Gael because they're like, "he's doing that now?! Down 3-5, serving at 15-15?!" :cover  :ras: :nono

He ended up losing in the third... :cover
