The older more experienced zebra won. I kind of thought he would take it.

Thiem moves so much better than Zverev it's almost unfair, so it's no surprise that he is losing on clay. I'd like to see them play at the US Open though, that would be one hell of a match. I want Theim or Gulbis in the semi. Screw Clownga, he is disgusting and would lose 5-0 up in the third set. Regardless who makes the semi, STAN YOU NEED TO SAVE TENNIS AGAIN.

If you are asking Stan to do anything, then bwahahaha, the only thing he seems to be good at is banging teenagers and scoring an occasional win.

Thiem is a better player than Zverev at this point, especially on clay. I do not think anyone expected Zverev to win.
It is the first time for Thiem to reach the 4th round of any slam.

In the end it didn't cost him too much. Won 8-6

So how good are Zverev and Thiem on fast surfaces? I hope they are so that we can enjoy good fast court tennis on the future. I know Kyrgios will be one of the best on fast courts.

That is why he cannot win RG this year.

I think Zverev may have an upper hand over Thiem on fast courts.

Thiem reached the 4th round of the US Open if I recall last year. He has a shot at beating his best result though here.

Yes, he had reached 4th round before (but not last year; in 2014 USO).

He will surely reach QF at RG with a decent chance at SF. But, that may be his ceiling this year.

No he did not. There he reached 3rd round only.

Point is he made it to that stage and at the US Open, so he has a decent game for the hard courts. He needs to improve his court positioning a bit and make his serve a bit more reliable and contender we have.

Poor Djokovic, I bet he is happy Serena kept her head. Now he has to await the Gulbis/Tsonga match which could go the distance.

Wow, the tennis powers that be are really messing with the top half of the draw. Thiem definitely has a shot at that semi now.
