It is Williams vs. France day. Serena playing Kristina and Venus playing Alice. Serena used to local crowd supporting the other player and will manage it. It may be difficult to show up for every match for Venus due Sojourn Syndrome, but if she does she will win.

Two other matches will also be interesting. Svitolina vs Ana and PR vs. CSN. These are kind of evenly poised and could go either way.

As long as Serena keeps her head, she will be fine. Cornet is just one of those weird players who can get those weird wins on paper that she really shouldn't. I think the Ana/Svita one could go either way as both player blow very hot or cold it is just a matter of which one will blink first. Hmmm....on CSN/Cibby match true toss up there.

I've seen Kristina play this well. She draws alot of inspiration from the crowd. Maybe you've forgotten but she took Li Na out a few years ago. I believe she might have been the defending champ at that time. I also remember she went to toe-to-toe w/ Sharapova at Wimby one year. Another tight match w/ a TB that Maria eventually won.

She likes the big stage. She raises her level whenever she's playing a higher ranked player on a center court.

yes I remember her defeating Li Na and the Chinese s excuse was that she was injured...knee injury yes something to that effect.

Serena seems sluggish and very slow to the ball.

CSN takes out Cibby in 3 so another seed falls. Putinseva dismisses Vika's terminator in breadstick fashion. :dalek:
