Cilic is out

One old vet down, quite a few more to go! Vinci out on the ladies' side of the draw! Murray making a run finally, but nightfall coming soon enough to allow Stepanek to get some rest and start fresh tomorrow! :dodgy: :p

Oh and just the 36 unforced errors.

Stepanek being 37 years old, coming from injury break and coming off the qualies, will surely enjoy the fact that the match is not finished today. He can use the rest and bring it to Andy, who is a contender to win the tourney.

Bjorn living up to his name.

Obviously at least one of his parents was a tennis fan. Who puts a tennis racquet into his son's hand when he is 3 year old in the USA?

After two full days of play, less than half of the first round matches are complete. :nono
May be RG should consider a Saturday start to the tournament. :)

Interesting Step gets time to regroup. This is where Andy has to be careful because Step might get a new lease on life tomorrow.

Well according to Guy Forget, the roof isn't feasible until 2020! lol! It's just been rotten weather! I'm still amazed by mohrons who contradict the evidence of climate change! :puzzled :nono :cover :p

Hopefully tomorrow will bring a rejuvenated Radek who'll Step up his game and do us all a favour. 37 years old, multiple injuries and has a steel plate in his neck and still challenging the top guys. A true warrior.

One roof will not solve the problem during R1 or R2. Does not matter if is AO, Wimbledon or whatever. Rain in the first few days in slams will create serious delays.

Yeah. Only the big shots play on the 2 big courts so the rest of the matches still get cancelled. Doesn't help much really and does a disservice to all but the top guys whose schedule would remain the same while the unlucky sods on the other courts get postponed till next day. Not fair at all.

Murray is very unlucky that the fifth set is being played tomorrow. If the weather had cooperated, he would be moving on to round two. Instead, he could lose because Step is getting rested. That would be a big upset.

Well that's what happened last year in his semi with Nole; ruined his routine and gave Stan a psychological edge putting him "in the zone" hitting winners from behind the baseline! There's just no justice in this world! :nono

Some psychological edge that must be with a 21-4 h2h. Don't think any guy had an edge going into that match but if someone did it was the guy who has won the majority of their very one sided h2h. Stan simply played better.
