In the post match, Nole shared that he didn't practice yesterday. Didn't hit one tennis ball.

When I played in the "high school" ranks, it wasn't uncommon for the top players to not even touch their racket the day before a tournament! I know if I practiced too hard, I'd blow it! :cover :nono

I've read that Naovak has not played well at all but Nishi has played horrible.
I always thought that he could do better but the time and results are telling me that he is and won't ready to win any MS and even less a GS, "bread today, hunger tomorrow" :cover :puzzled :nono

You are 100% correct. Novak played poorly and still won. Nishikori was abysmal and tight as a drum. The match was over hyped.

Novak might have won in straight sets. But, his differential is -5, that does not bode well.

A noted trend with the opposition from the quarters. Berdych "I like my chances". Hmm. Got his a$$ handed to him by a Federer in pretty superb form. Nishikori "I am ready to beat him here again". Plays like dung and Novak not much better but still wins. Talk is cheap and it only fires the better player up more to shut them up on court with their racquets. Till next time suckers.

Agreed. Don't poke the Lions

I missed the first set (as I was sleeping). Went back to watch it on the DVR this evening, and it was so bad I just deleted it. Novak didn't touch his racquet after his match with Simon. Thankfully he reduced his error count by 75, but it was still too terrible to watch. :cover
