I am now a big Garbine fan. This is how you play win or lose putting it all out there. Her time will come sooner rather than later. She has a good team that expects results before getting ahead of herself. I expect her win will come in Australia or Paris where she has time to unload on that backhand.

Evert is talking like she lives in the same house as Serena....sometimes less talk is more.

With this win, Serena is also 6670 points ahead of #2. If you're Serena, do you adjust your schedule after Wimbledon? I don't think she is going to play the Swedish Open. I also would like to see her remove one of the hard court tournaments from her schedule. I think the less chances she gives the media to question her and discuss the potential this year the better.

Congratulations Serena, on winning another Serena Slam :celeb:

Unbelievable, she wins playing good, she wins playing ugly, she wins dominating, she wins after digging hole, she wins from brink of defeat, she wins by double bagelling; only thing that is constant is she always wins! :clap

Can anyone let me know whether Serena has ever lost her game twice while serving for the same match?

Why are the posts reducing in this thread ?

System malfunction caused some posts to duplicate, so the duplicates are being deleted. Sorry.

Congrats Serena, well deserved!
I'm so proud of Garbi. Grass is not her fav surface but she has played superb most of the tournament
She could have done a little better against Serena when they were 5-4 but it's obvious that she needs more experience, a couple of years more and she will be able to win several GS :clap :clap :clap

She grew up and training in Spain so when she wins a GS it will be for Spain, don't you think?

i worked last night and got mad when Serena was down 4-2. I feel asleep and next time i opened my eyes it was 5-4 serena. I caught the last game, congrats to Serena, so proud of you. Congrats to Garbine too for making it to the finals. but does anyone know with this win how much prize money has serena racked up this year already.
