All those injured players....sad to see tennis is a violent sport. Hope 2015'll offer us some great tennis moments with no WO or retirements. Players have to play less but in better shape. It's useless to have a too busy schedule and to finish the year at hospital

I would like Roger to win a Slam in 2015. It might be possible too, most probably only
in Wimbledon or USO though.

Next to that, I would like Roger to focus on getting the two missing Masters (Montecarlo and Rome)
trophies in 2015.

Next year, they have changed the ATP calendar in two important ways. One is the extra week during the grass season. This may help Rafa finding his feet on grass.

The other change is the timing of the first two rounds of DC. The first round will now take place the week before IW and the second round, the week after Wimby. So, if Roger plays both IW and
Miami, he will have to play for 6 weeks in a row (one week in Dubai, the following week for DC
opening round, two weeks at IW and two weeks in Miami). That is lot of tennis continuously and
he may get exhausted like Andy did this year after 6 weeks in a row at the end. Hence, I would
suggest Roger to skip Miami and instead play Montecarlo. That way he will not be stretching
himself too thin and also give him an opportunity to bring home a missing trophy.

Time to gloat.

At the end of last year, I made ten predictions in post #52 of the 2014 Crystal Ball thread. I got a score of 8.16 out of 10 on my predictions and the year is not yet over. If Andy proposes to Kim by Christmas, my score will go up to 8.50 out of 10.

Del Potro cost me 1 point due to his injuries and Novak cost me 0.5 points by not winning AO.

dont see anyone other than fed djoker or (healthy) rafa winning slams. maybe murray if he picks it up. honestly dont (still) see anyone standing up to those guys in slams. yea they might beat one of them but beating all 3..almost impossible.

And then Mirka returns every year to all the slams, heckling all the top players on every big point so complete nobodies win all the slams for the next 5 years :snigger

You can expect AP to find a way to France to put his foot up Clement's butt for putting together that Davis Cup squad..

I expect Rafa to win 3 of the four GS.. (heck it really needs to be a clean sweep if he is Ever gonna surplant Roger as the current GOAT).

I expect Djoker gets a couple this upcoming year. Hopefully one at the French. We need one year where Wafa doesn't win anything and that might be close to the end of him. Yessir!

I would love Nishikori to win a slam next year. I'm not sure anyone outside of the big 3 has a realistic shot to be honest. I'm expecting Rafa to come back strong. I would be shocked if he doesn't come back for the Australian Open, so the interesting thing will be where he lands in the draw. The only thing I hope for is that men's tennis becomes more competitive with more shocks. If I had any other outside hope (apart from the obvious.. Roger winning any slam), it would be to see Del Potro back in a slam final. How about a Del Potro v Djokovic final at Roland Garros? With a Djoker victory over Rafa in a 5 setter at the semi stage? :D

Additionally I would love to see Monfils get his head straight and fulfill his potential. I know we all criticise him, and I appreciate that Roger was rusty, but surely his performance in the DC will give him confidence. The guy hits with as much power as anyone, he's quicker than anyone and should be able to match up to even Novak and Rafa on his day. Bearing in mind the trend for players to come into their own at a later age than the past, wouldn't it be awesome if he won a slam? I may have to reassess my desire for a Djoker-Delpo final at RG. Imagine if Le Monf could pull out a W there. Wow!

Hoping Novak can win one or more GS this year. And that Nishikori can do well too, win a masters or something.

Top 10 is unlikely to change much, but would not be surprised if Ferrer is on his way out completely. Berdych might tumble too I think, depending on how Dimitrov and some other youngsters will do.

I am curious how Frenchies Tsonga and Monfils will bode this year. Tsonga only showed up at the Canada masters. Very odd season for him this year.

I wish we had two separate threads, one in which we list what we want to happen and one
in which we list what we think will happen. Already, the posts in this thread by folks are of
both types, leading to confusion.

Well, this one is for speculation about what we think might happen, not what we want. Although I did mention off the bat that I "want" a fully fit Ralph. Do I think that'll happen? :dodgy:

They are intertwined, you can't really seperate them, cause it is all speculation anyways.

I mean seriously, we all want our guy to win all four GS.
