Does anyone know what happen to Taylor Townsend? Is she playing in the US Open Qualifying?

TT won qualifying round of 128 today.

She lost in the 2nd Round of the qualifier. I do believe she's in the women's doubles draw

Thanks! And welcome to Tennis Frontier! :)

I suspect she was afraid withdrawing any earlier would have compromised her appearances/endorsements in NYC.

If she knew she was going to withdraw, they could have set the seeds up better. Now there's a gaping hole for Ivanovic to fly through to the semifinals.

Come on, you know Ana cannot do such miracles. This changes nothing for Ana as she probably would not even reach QF to begin with.

I completely support Tignor's prediction that young Sviolotina comes out on top of this quarter when all is said and done.

See how fast she flew through the gaping hole. :laydownlaughing

Vika will lose to Kerber

Cibky may beat Anna
she did...I like Cibby she is a fearless little player.I bet you if Ana was playing Serena she would have played better than this.
Kerber will rundown Vika and wear her out...she is efficient and one of those pushers that transition from defense to attack easily.

If Vika injury from Cincy hasn't heal to 100%, she will not last til the 2nd week. Otherwise, she is really striking the ball well these days, she just isn't healthy to be honest.

I would pick Kerber before Vika. In all honesty, the fact that Vika hasn't managed to get close to the top 10 by now is disappointing.

Azarenka did well with Sumyk he managed to calm her down, now she is always horsing around with that attention seeking hitting dude....not focused.
She will try but it will not be enough to win anything....two years no title.

The dress on Venus is hideous. Didn't see what Sloane and Ana were wearing since they lasted only one round. They both need some mental toughness training.
