One of the more compelling head to head match ups. Who is your pick?

I have feeling Berdy pulls this one out. No idea why, just my gut instinct.

I'm picking Murray in three. Like Riotbeard, I have no idea why.

Their head-to-head is close: 6-5, in Berdych's favor:

Also, thank you, Nehmeth, for creating the poll/thread. :)

Picking Berdych in two. Hopefully his new coach will have him better prepped for Andy. We'll see.

Murray has been up and down form wise so far in this tournament. His first and 2nd serve is still a problem. When his serve dips he has usually lost a set in this tournament.Though he has more variety in his game than Berdych,if Murray can get his serve working on a consistent basis in this match I feel he will win.

Murray in 3 sets.

Haha, I actually like both players so I'll be happy with either! Who needs this one more? Murray hasn't won a Masters in two years and winning this one would get him to double digits. Berdych hasn't won a Masters since....flip flip flip flip....I'll have to get back to you on this one ;).

Murray in 3 or less..I am still pissed at that chump for pulling out the semi vs Rafa last year's event. I had to eat that ticket:devil

So far we are even money vote wise. I understand you guys choosing Murray, but I want to see if team Berdych (aka ex-team Andy), has worked out their gameplan to take him down.

True, that is an interesting aspect to their recent matches.

I'm surprised Berdych has had as much success against Murray as he has had, considering Murray's return game and defense. Berdych is 18-2 against Novak, for example. 18-4 against Nadal, 13-6 against Federer.

It's 3 am but couldn't sleep. Had to see who's going to take this. Not looking good for Berdych now. Murray has never beaten Berdych in a Masters match but this could be the day.

But Andy, if you win, no laying down in the final. Take the title!

I didn't notice that when looking through their head-to-head. How odd.
