That's what I was saying earlier. Knowing what to do and actually executing it is completely different.

Makarova showed she could do it against Halep,directing her shots to her fhand wing,also directing her serve to her fhand,with good body serves,Sharapova's weaker wing as we all know is her fhand,I do not know why Makarova and her team didnt use this in their match plan.Of course with any game plan you have to execute it,Makarova has been happy to go toe to toe with Sharapova from the baseline,which spells defeat.

I think we all know why. She didn't believe, plain and simple. Doing it against Halep is different than doing it against Maria.

Another thing I have noticed today with Makarova her shots havent had controlled aggression,she had to be aggressive in this match,still pushing shots and making too many ufe is not the way to go in any match.

Also Makarova hasnt played the BPS well,when she has had them? you have to play the Big Points Well

Masha gets sloppy in the 5th game, 2 double faults cause a couple of break points but she overcomes one with an ace and another by a Maka error. Maka gets sloppy from there and can't take advantage.
