Garcia must be thrilled. She had no chance against Pova. I am picking Timea for the title.

Well...that little Mexican retreat sure didn't pan out for Dimitrov and Sharapova.

Just read on Twitter....Sharapova has withdrawn due to a stomach virus, meaning that Caroline Garcia gets a walkover to the final.

Is this virus caused by Grigor's early exit?

No,apparently Sharapova has been suffering with it all week.

Going to be interesting to see how well Harrison can keep up with Ferrer. IF Harrison can pull off the upset, he'll move up to about #80 in the rankings. Rooting for both players today.

pova followed Dimitrov to Acapulco because of those pictures he took with Genie...she is keeping a leash on her man.He probably didnt want to be with her in Mexico and lost early to run away from her...something must be up with these two.May to December relationships can be a problem sometimes..

Hope she didn't contract Montezuma's Revenge. That's a nasty little bug. :gross:

As of yet I have not seen the match. Was Garcia overwhelmed by the moment (I believe that this was her first final)?

Timea has great potential. The few times that I have seen her play, I have really been impressed. With more consistency she could be in the top 10 if she is able to handle the pressure of being a hunted and not a hunter.

I didnt watch the whole match, from what I saw Garcia was making too many ufe for starters, maybe a case of nerves, she was in tears after the match, very disappointed with herself in the way she played.
