But look at the rest of the East. What is it saying that they are leading that pack of wannabees. Anyway, I'm sure the GSW and Spur beatdown this week didn't help matters.

Keep in mind, for the first time since I don't know when, all Eastern play off teams (as of now) are over .500, whereas West has a team under. East might be slowly getting better overall.

I was shocked they fired Blatt too. And I don't buy for a second that Lebron didn't have something to do with it. You usually don't see a coach get fired when the team is in 1st place in the conference and on pace for 60 wins.

Unless Popovich decides to quit the Spurs and start coaching the Cavs, Cleveland will not be winning a series against Golden State or San Antonio. I think they are hoping for a miracle when what they really need is for Lebron to drink from the fountain of youth, and even that probably wouldn't be enough. Lebron is still great but a lot of the explosive athleticism is gone and they would need him to be amazing to compete vs. whichever behemoth comes out of the West.

Pretty funny stuff from Griffin. Meanwhile the Clippers have generally played better this year without Blake. I wonder if there will be a shakeup on that team. LAC and OKC are kind of unlucky because they are very good teams that realistically have no chance of going all the way this year.

Where would OKC be if they wouldn't have traded James Harden, it's the DUMBEST trade of any sport I have seen in my lifetime, :nono

I Beg to differ, if you are a poker player you will know you Never throw in 3 of kind, a winning hand. Herschel was traded and brought back first and future round draft choices not NFL superstars at that time. Dallas built the team of the 90s via the draft and free agency. What OKC did by trading Harden was utter stupidity.

Rafa and his team needs to use this tape of that horrific display of hitting by Rafa as a non blueprint of Not how to play against Djoker, I can't believe how atrocious and short Rafa was hitting in that clip. :nono That's was a pure nightmare

It was worse against Soderling at RG 2009 and most of the tour this year.

Front , I observed a WTA match in Cincinnati between Halep and Petrovic where these two ladies consistently deep in court ( about three feet or less from the baseline) which I haven't seen from Rafa in quite some time.IMO

They've had an interesting countdown of the top 100 players in NBA history the past couple weeks:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page/nbarank160205/all-nbarank-11-15

They are up to #11 (Big O). I think some of the selections have been crazy and have way too much of a recency bias but that's just me. The ten remaining players are MJ, Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Lebron, Shaq, Duncan, and Olajuwon. Big O at 11 and Kobe at 12 are surprisingly low to me. Big O should probably be above Olajuwon, Shaq and possibly Duncan at the very least. Kobe should be ranked up there with Shaq, Duncan and Hakeem too. And they've also had ridiculous ones like Steph Curry at 23 and Dirk at 17.

I think they'll have it like this:
#1 - MJ (that's a given)
#2 - Kareem (I could see them putting Russell here due to titles but probably not)
#3 - Russell (he will be 4 at lowest but I think with the titles he will get the nod over Wilt)
#4 - Wilt
#5 - Magic
#6 - Lebron
#7 - Bird
#8 - Duncan
#9 - Shaq
#10 - Hakeem

Will be interesting to see how many I get...

I got 8-10 right but they put Russell at #7 and Bird at #6. I think that's some serious disrespect to Russell. Most would have him on Bball's Mount Rushmore. If they have Lebron ahead of any of the other four (MJ, Kareem, Wilt, and Magic) that'd be absurd.

They had the top 5 as follows:

Jordan
Kareem
Lebron
Magic
Wilt

Again I think it is crazy to have Lebron that high. When all is said and done he could get there or even be considered the 2nd best after Jordan. But I don't think he is there yet.

Kareem might be happy for a change... he's generally spent 3 decades moaning about being under-appreciated... maybe he had a point, but he usually got ranked lower than Magic in these lists.

Where would Dr J. fit in @Twisted?

Dr. J was ranked 14th. I'd say that one is pretty fair. I'm not sure Kareem would be happy but I too would have him #2. I think most would have him above Magic mainly due to his longevity. Lebron at #3 is stupidity but I thought most of the current players they ranked are too high with the exception of the "most boring and least popular superstar ever" in Tim Duncan. I'd have the top 10 as this:

1. MJ
2. Kareem
3. Russell
4. Wilt
5. Magic
6. Lebron
7. Bird
8. Big O
9. Duncan
10. Kobe

Was wondering because I read an article where Shaq said Dr J should be in the conversation with MJ as the GOAT.

Dr. J is tough to rank as he was certainly one of the most influential players in basketball history and he also played his first 5 or 6 years in the ABA. But I don't think there is an argument for him at #1 or even top 5. Shaq says some ridiculous stuff
