Nah, Milos still has the bigger and more reliable serve and is a lot more experienced compared to Nick. He will be a tougher obstacle than Stan IMO.

He maybe. What impressed me about Nick is that he's not waiting for the older generation to basically die before he takes his place. Raonic maybe too scared in the semi. If he shows Nick's bravado, it'll be interesting, but Federer is more used to the occasion...

Nick beat Rafa on grass, not trying to pour any salt in the wound but he did something that Rosol and Darcis have done the past 2 years. I think Milos has enough experience (2nd straight QF, made an MS final, etc) and has also played Roger a bunch of times. I don't think he will be in awe of the occasion whereas that'd almost certainly be the case with Nick.

No, that's fair, but he played an exceptional match, and Rafa played much better against him than he did against darcis. In Raonic's favour is that I think he usually has close matches against Federer.

I still don't see him having the wherewithal to beat Fed in a slam semi. Raonic isn't my type of player but still, he's far too wooden and one-dimensional to trouble Federer.

Nick would be too gassed if he made it there, but he's down two sets to one here now, I think, anyway...

Does not matter Nick or Milos. Roger will surely handle them both and definitlely reach
the final and hopefully will win it.

I must admit that I was skeptical about S and V in this day and age, but it did save Federer today. He was being dominated from the baseline, which is pretty hard to take for those of us who remember him at his height.

In 2012 he beat Novak by playing crafty grass court tennis, even though he was far from a world beater. I think he probably gets by Raonic with guile and a bit of luck, but I don't think craft will save him from Dimitrov or Novak anymore.

Also while he used to deal with power players better than anyone on tour, those days are over and it's possible Raonic powers him off the court like Berdy did a few years ago. I do think S and V helps him here though.
