So, it could potentially a tight match. My prediction: Djokovic in four competitive sets.

I voted for Djokovic in 4. I was about to pick 3, but Cilic is having a terrific tournament. He could win a tiebreak, for example.

Cilic has had an excellent tournament thus far. His serve has flattened out and it will be a tougher read. Picked Novak to win this in four.

not sure if anyone noticed but nole dropped his raquet and clutched his shoulders in pain today near the end of that match. hope nothing is wrong and it doesnt affect him against cilic. other than that he should win this. wont be surprised if it goes 5. cilic has been serving well this tourney.

I think Cilic takes a set. He moves really well for a guy his size, serves big, hits flat, has a very good backhand (I forgot to bring him up in the other thread as one of the guys with a better backhand than Nadal), and seems to have improved his forehand (though I still think it can be suspect and Novak will expose it eventually).

The problem for Marin though, is that I can't recall the last time he got a really big win (I honestly don't remember him ever having a big win, not on this stage at least). So even if/when he makes it tight, I still think Novak's experience/confidence will see him through.

Now that you mention it, I don't think he ever has. But perhaps Cilic is Croatian for "the thing with feathers."

It's not implausible, especially after watching some of his matches this week.

I believe that Novak pulls this one out. My concern is that it will be like last year's semi with DP where both players left it all out on the court, with nothing in reserve for the next round.
