Yes there are players with better strategic game than her but really in the times she loses badly it's always kind of inexplicable. She rarely loses because she played her very best tennis and couldn't beat the other player. Now I would be really interested to see if she can keep up this level and how others fare against it.
I think we'll need until about the Australian Open to see if her consistency is here to stay. If I remember correctly she played decently for most of 2011 after Wimbledon, right?

Eugenie was embarrassed, but nevertheless it was still worth getting up at 5am for Breakfast at Wimbledon. Oh yes one Canadian did win today, Vasek Pospisil and American Jack Stock in doubles, beating the number team Bryan Brothers in five gruelling sets.:clap

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Not really. Her next events on hard courts in USA and Canada will give the answer. If she holds form in USA and Canada then she is good to go (up the rankings). No need to wait until 2015. Thats way too far.

what a bore it was Simo would have cried win or lose

My point was that consistency is not whether a player does well for two months it's whether they put together consistent results over a longer period of time. Petra's consistency really started faltering BIG TIME around the Australian Open after her Wimbledon Win.
