14 contestants so far - nice, keep them coming. Neither our reigning champ nor the runnerup has yet to show up, unfortunately!

Here I am, El Dude, just in time.

W - Nadal
F - Djokovic
SF - Murray, Federer
QF - Del Potro, Wawrinka, Youzhny, Anderson
DH - Berdych
WC - Pospisil

Changing my strategy just a bit due to the added quarterfinalist and the wide open 3rd quarter.

OK, we have 17 contestants - not bad.

zalvar, you have Roger as your dark horse and he's not applicable as he's won a Slam in the last two years. If you can change that before round 2 starts I don't think it needs to be disqualifi

I completely forgot to make my picks, I just checked it today :(
Been extremely busy lately. Hopefully I will be in time for the Roland Garros.

Kudos to El Dude for keeping the check.

OK, folks, here are the rankings after the Australian Open. As you can see, one participant - ftan - is way ahead of everyone else due to picking Stanislas Wawrinka as the Dark Horse. Well done, ftan!

27 ftan
17 secrettennisjunkie
17 GoldenBoy
17 El Dude
16 Kieran
16 Luxilon Borg
16 Moxie629
16 rahulpawar
15 britbox
14 rafanoy1992
14 Denisovich
14 Riotbeard
14 The AntiPusher
14 askh
14 kstake2
12 zalvar
10 GameSetAndMath

Feel free to go over your scores and let me know if I got you wrong, but I think its all correct.

This also means that anyone who missed this first round can join in with 9 points, 1 less than the lowest score.

Until next time...

Great job, ftan! :clap :celeb: You are acres ahead of the field, and shows the value of a solid pick for dark horse. Take note, people!

Don't blow your lead, ftan - this is yours to lose...ha ha.

Seriously though, Moxie, I think you make a good point - a strong dark horse (or wildcard) pick can really do wonders. Of course its hard to imagine this happening again, but you never know.

Well tbh, I never expected Stan to win, I picked him as a dark horse based on draw, thinking maybe he has a chance to beat Nole and then he can make it o final, but winning.. nope. And I dont think I ever think my dark horse can actually win the tournament, unless its Delpo :)
