He looks a little tired. Not sure if it's physical or mental. Probably mental. I can't see him being spent at this stage of the tournament. He hasn't even played a 5 setter yet

Ernie is a gambler and it pays off. He hits into the sun his second serve as hard as the first and they land in. Good for him.

Yeah, he often hits a second first serve actually.

On the radio, they wondered if novak was having physical issues. Any reason to believe this is true?

No, he does not. Ernie raised his level.

It's getting hot all of a sudden for the first time in two weeks. Im sure that is having a bit of an effect as well.

Injured, tired, I don't think so, he is just playing horrendous tennis right now.

Novak is known for mid-match walkabouts, too. I have a feeling that's what's going on. In other words, it's mental, and he'll get it together soon enough.

Doesn't look injured to me. Just a drop in tempo. Gulbis had nothing to lose in the third set and started swinging freely. Expect order to be restored.

It is mental with Novak. Ever since that study came out that said there is no such thing as gluten allergies or anything, you either have celiac disease or you are just fine, he has been depressed, thinking about all the good food he has missed.;)

The good news for Novak's lull is Ernie is still a little error prone so the match is still in his hands in this set.

That's one of the main reasons why I gave ernie a set, but it's scary when you can't see :(

He already looked noticeably better in that last game.

What injury are you guys talking about? The sun bothered him and he got frustrated. Ernie sensed that he is irritated and played even more aggressively. That is all.

Novak better make every concerted effort to stay in front this set because Ernie would more than likely become the more nervous of the two if he had to serve to stay in the match.

Well... if it's a sunny day on Sunday he might as well not turn up with that type of attitude!

Thank you Ernie. Game set and match Djokovic.
