i just wanna see rafa murray play. their rome match was some high quality stuff and murray almost won so im interested to see what happens if they meet again. if monfils wins we all know its gonna be one way traffic for rafa in semis regardless of which monfils shows up.

I hope Andy wins, but with Andy you never know? Sometimes he's really there while other times it just looks like he is there!

They haven't played since 2010 so you can throw out the H2H.

Who ya got: the showman or the businessman?

Monfils is gonna push with Murray who is known to push the ball a bit. This match may have some rallies up to 25-30 strokes a piece.. Get your popcorn ready for this one gang..I would have to say that Murray will win in 5 because I just dont trust Monfils to take this one seriously.

If Monfils doesn't take it seriously it will be over in 3. Murray won't be messing around. The French crowd won't bother him either. They can boo all they like. Andy will laugh it off as he has done in the past.

I really should follow Andy's lead. The dislike for him on here gets really tiring.

Well, you've got one more Murray fan right here. I've been down on him a bit but would love to see him shock the headbands off of everyone.

Good to know Kirijax. :)

include me in..i want a seat on the interwebz murrymobile. :)

If murray is serious and plays the way he should, i think he will win in 3 or 4 sets depending on which monfil turns up on court.

I wanna see how he fares against Nadal if he gets pass monfil. At least he would be more confident this time. If he gets I really hope he plays better than the last time they met in semi back in 2011.

Iona, my post wasn't designed as a dislike for Andy or his game. Andy is a great champion.. Heck.. I was the one who immediately thank Andy for bringing Rafa's game back to life during the Rome tournament. (I see others co signed later in the same fashion but I am cool with that.) As for the fickle French, who gives a damn..they don't even like Rafa

I know it wasn't AP. See my PM. :)

"I'm not expecting the crowd to be for me," said Murray on Tuesday, with dry understatement. "I look forward to that because it doesn’t often happen where the whole crowd is against you. Even in Davis Cup in Italy, we had great support there. It’s going to be a good experience for me."

Well, it's not going to be a good experience for me Andy. I'm not looking forward to 15,000 fans booing my boy. I hope the announcer on Chatrier gets his nationality right this time. No excuse for getting it wrong.

BTW I love how Roland Garros have said that the Murray v Monfils match is on Chatrier because Andy hasn't been on that court yet. Hmm not convinced by that statement.

This match will be on Chatrier. Nadal v Ferrer on Lenglen.

I know I will get creamed about saying this but the French got it right. Murray and Monfils is the feature match. Everyone seen the FERAL movie before, imo/

Nah, I don't mind that Murray-Monfils is on Chatrier. My only problem is that both matches take place at the same time. I'm fine with Nadal-Ferrer being on Lenglen.

Got to agree with what others are saying with the scheduling. Every other matchday before the QFs they've held two mens' and two womens' matches on Chatrier, why not continue to do so. I understand that they want to spread the big matches to Lenglen too, but it doesn't really make sense when you end up either having to put a Frenchman in a French Open quarter-final against the defending Wimbledon champion, or the quarter final involving an eight time winner and world number one against last year's runner-up on a court other than Chatrier.

Even if they insist on having one on each court there's literally no reason to have it at the same time. Could easily have a schedule like this:

Chatrier: Women's QF not before 1pm, Men's QF not before 4pm
Lenglen: Women's QF not before 11am, Men's QF not before 1pm

So that those interested in the women can see both women's matches, same for the men's, and those interested in both can see at least some of each match.

Please I hope the "real" Andy shows up and not that impersonator that shows up a lot of times!
I want the Murray that played Nando to show up not the one that played Phillip. Now will I get what I want?

A lot of rain today, hope they can play without beeing interrupted all the time. Clay'll be heavy and it could favor Monfils

Nice. Glad the weather isn't great over there 'cos I just got back from the gym and neither match has started so I didn't miss anything  On the other hand, not sure I can stomach watching Errani go WAA-EHH for 2 hours :s
