ok seeing as gulbis back from the dead..(or Federer wasting 2set lead with that sh!te overhead), he might as well beat skeletor as well,

gulbis in a major SF would qualify these days as a "young gun breakthrough" even though he is pushing 26 sometime this summer/autumn. middle aged gun ?.

Middle-aged, nut-job gun break through. :D As much as I like Tomas this would be a vindication of sorts for Ernie, and his rededication to the sport.

This could be 5 sets, but Berd is just a tad too consistent for Ernie right now.

Already up a set and a break at 6-3 2-0, Ernie just misses the line wide to push another break. Berd holds 2-1

I thought this could go 5 sets, but it doesn't look like Ernie is in favor of that plan. Up a double break in the 2nd 4-1

5-1 now. some interesting stats. Ernie is winning 75% of hist first serve in set 1 and 90% in set 2.

Ernie up 2 sets to nil. His serve is on fire. Don't know if Berd can turn this around.

Its sad to watch my underdawg Berdych getting whipped like this.. He needs to stay on Ernie's fh because his bh is his most consistent stroke.

Has Ernie really finally learned to play tennis? Wait I guess that question should be has Ernie finally really decided to dedicated himself to tennis? He has always had the talent!

I'm really happy that Ernie came through. A slam SF. He's never been to one and boy did he show up in this tournament, beating some really good players along the way. Much congrats on a job well done! :clap
