As improved as Roger is this year, I can't understand pundits who say he may be playing his best tennis ever. While his ability to run on to his forehand has improved immeasurably from the last year or possibly the last couple of years.. it's nothing compared to what it used to be. Granted he was never Sampras like but even watching him today, he doesn't look as if he's going to put something really offensive back in play. There was a time you could almost count on that. Many many years ago...

While that's not the be all and end all.. it's just such a glaring absence in his game for me...

they exchanged good holds there, seems a little more even now but if Roger has a game with a lot of 2nd serves its trouble
