Another big point that Novak wins with otherworldly defense.

For the love of god, stop going for that DTL backhand from 10 feet back. You're not hitting much easier shots.

Point in case.

Novak is just holding serve much easier while every Wawrinka service game is a struggle. Can't see Stan winning.

Can't believe Novak's not covering that serve down the middle on big points.

Bad feeling Stan breaks here, Nole looks like he is ready to fold.

So nobody voted for Novak in 5. Two for Stan in five though.

Djokovic defends better on the backhand but not the forehand and the passing shots are great but not anywhere near Nadals. Also Nadal is still a more consistent hitter, Novak just misses more.

I look at it this way: while watching them now, who makes me wonder "who did he get THAT back?" more?

Overall defense is more than that. Monfils of course has the ability to get to shots Nole and Nadal can't dream of but he is not anywhere near the defender.

I agree. But I still go with Novak on hards for the reasons I pointed out in a previous post.

You're just projecting. This one is going extra innings.

Stan needs an easy hold to relax a bit. Can't afford to go to many deuces again. Not at this stage.

Stan's serve has been great, Djokovics problem is that Stan has hung in baseline rallies easily.

More aggression needed from Stan on this return game. He can't just rely on Novak having a stinker.

First must hold for Novak.
