Didn't see the first 2 sets, which Ferrer and JJ split, 6-4 each, in that order, but JJ DF'd away his serve, seems to have lost the plot and Ferrer is up 3-0 in the decider.

Not in the third. JJ fell apart, a bit, and Ferrer was terrific. JJ fell against the back wall to give Ferrer a break point at mid way thru, and the umpire allowed him to go off the court to wash his hands, which Jason Goodall thought was terrible officiating. Ferrer broke, anyway, a few points after the delay. Goodall summarized that Jerzy needs to work on his consistency.

An all Russian SF then an all Spanish one, so it will be Russia vs Spain in the final, the question is which one

^ Funny, the DC-aspect of it, now that you say it. Well, You-the-Man Youzhny it is for the Russians.

I wish Nico had won. Pretty good rallies though.

With this win, Ferrer is now 14-0 against Almagro.
Youzhny leads the head-to-head with Ferrer by 4-3. Last meeting was 2012 French Open in which Ferrer easily won in straight sets. Last meeting before that was in 2009.

Would love to see Youzhny somehow win this!
