Awful week aside from GB winning and Chicago losing. Crappy picks, terrible fantasy football and I only saw the Packers game and it was a snoozefest.

Also this week more than any got me to thinking something, and let me know if you all agree (some may already have been doing it).

I think we should be allowed to change our picks up until Sunday before the noon games start. And for Thursday night game we would obviously have to change it before Thursday. I can see an argument for and against being able to change the Monday game before kick off but I guess we can throw that in there (being able to change Monday night game before kickoff). Does everyone think this is fair?

This week was good for showing how injuries first known mid-week or later can really change the picks. No one picked Detroit to win yesterday but had they been playing a lesser team you would have had some people picking them. And then Calvin Johnson was ruled out just 2 hours before the game which effectively makes Detroit one of the worst teams in the league. Tennessee's qb, Jake Locker, was ruled out in the middle of the week and I should have switched my pick to KC.

Agreed.. But will it be fair to others who may not be paying attention to the last minutes line up changes due to an injury or etc.. I think we should just leave it the way it is, IMO

I had a feeling Dallas would make a game of it, but didn't expect 99 combined points. Must have been a heck of a game, unfortunately I missed it.

You missed a classic indeed. Maybe you can catch it on the NFL channel this week. Romo turned his greatest game into his typical nightmare throwing that pic at the end.

I don't have an opinion one way or the other. The outcome of every game will be determined whether I make my pick on Wed or Sun morning. If you want to change your pick that's fine w/ me. Just do it before the games start on Sun.

I think it would have to be unanimous so let's just keep it how it is. There are enough games to pick over the season that this is small potatoes anyways.

Zut alors! I forgot to put my picks in this week... but at least the Raiders won. Terelle Pryor looks like he might be our QB of the future.

Thanks AP, but I was very lucky to win this week with just 9-5 and looking at my picks it could have easily turned out 5-9 just as well since a lot of matches were decided by nuances in the end. Crazy week indeed. When the Saints win in Soldier Field and the Jets take monday night football in Atlanta you know there is something weird going on. DarthFed and AP were 8-6, kskate2 was 7-7.

Current standings after week 5:

51-26 Darth Fed
50-27 Didi
46-31 AntiPusher
46-31 Kskate2

It's super close between us. As for Britbox missing week 5, his record so far was 35-27 over 4 weeks which is an average of 9-7 per week. In order for him to stay in contention for the win till the end, I'd propose to add his average score to his total tally and thus make it 44-34. I think it's more fun with him still around. What do you think?

Absolutely, Britbox is a smooth chap... please keep BB in the loop. On another note, I think Clay 'Bloodline" Matthews being missed for a month or more due to the surgery on his thumb is going to make things tough for DF's beloved Packers..I like Bloodline, he is a warriorbeast

Upcoming 4 games for Packers is @ Baltimore, Cleveland at home, @ Minny, and then Chicago at home. If they go 3-1 they will be fine but 2-2 or worse and they are in trouble. Losing Clay is huge but The NFC is absolutely dreadful this year. It is looking like 9-7 might get in as a wild card. Atlanta is toast after last night.

Onto week 6. Atlanta and Miami have byes so there are 15 games.

Giants @ Bears - Bears. The Giants are unbelievably bad
Bengals @ Bills - Bengals
Lions @ Browns - Browns. Easy pick if Megatron is still out, close one if he is in
Raiders @ Chiefs - Chiefs
Panthers @ Vikings - Vikings
Steelers @ Jets - Jets. I think the Jets will come back to Earth soon but Pitt has looked really bad so far.

Eagles @ Bucs - Eagles
Packers @ Ravens - Packers. It will be a tough one, especially without Matthews, but I think the Pack should pull it off. Have to admit that Baltimore is better than expected but as long as Rodgers gets decent time they should be able to move the ball well.

Rams @ Texans - Texans
Jags @ Broncos - Broncos. Only question here is what side you'd bet on in what is likely the largest spread in NFL history (27.5)

Titans @ Seahawks - Seahawks
Saints @ Pats - Saints, Their defense is for real and they seem to be on a mission after their "lost" season following the bounty suspensions. This is definitely the game of the week.

Arizona @ San Fran - San Fran
Redskins @ Cowboys - Cowboys
Colts @ Chargers - Colts. Like any game with San Diego this one has upset potential. The young Colts are good but I can see them getting tripped up here, should be a close one.

Giants @ Bears
Packers @ Ravens
Bengals @ Bills
Lions @ Browns
Rams @ Texans
Raiders @ Chiefs
Panthers @ Vikings
Steelers @ Jets This is the trap game of the week. The Steelers has to have their act together by now to get a victory.
Eagles @ Buccaneers
Jaguars @ Broncos
Titans @ Seahawks
Saints @ Patriots I am on the fence with this one. I am gonna stick with the Brees and the high power offense.
Cardinals @ 49ers
Redskins @ Cowboys
Colts @ Chargers

Giants @ Bears - Bears. The Bears are on their end of the season slide. It's a short turnaround but I'm hopeful they'll gut out a win and not limp into the bye week.
Bengals @ Bills - Bengals
Lions @ Browns - Browns
Raiders @ Chiefs - Chiefs
Panthers @ Vikings - Vikings
Steelers @ Jets - Jets
Eagles @ Bucs - Eagles
Packers @ Ravens - Ravens. Without Clay, I don't like the Packers chances on the road especially against Ravens.
Rams @ Texans - Texans (Hopefully. They are just awful to me right now)
Jags @ Broncos - Broncos (not even 48 Dallas points could best Peyton)
Titans @ Seahawks - Seahawks
Saints @ Pats - Pats. Belichick will fix the holes in their game and they'll rebound handing the Saints their first loss.
Arizona @ San Fran - Frisco
Redskins @ Cowboys - Cowboys
Colts @ Chargers - Colts are a good team.

A lot easier to pick this week and I see we all differ on just 1 or 2 games it seems, GB @ Baltimore and Saints @ New England

Now that we've all picked the Bears, watch how they gift the Giants their first win.

I will be rooting for it. With Cutler on the field the outrageous can easily happen :clap
