End of the 3Q, 90-89 Philly. Where they get 90 pts from w/o Joel.

it wasn't enough in the end. Is it possible we'll see Detroit take on the West? I'm not mad at that. They pounded on the Knicks in the regular season I believe..

Reg season means nothing. Knickerbockers will feel this is their destiny season to get to the finals where they'll be obliterated.
that's true. And I'm not sure Detroit has faced this new Point KAT. But I still think Detroit have every right to be considered favourites. They'll be playing with less stress imho

20 second compilation of the flops discussed in the above videos

I'm so happy that not only social media but some of the basketball pundits are now talking about it. It's so blatant and it truly offends me that some people are starting to talk about this guy in the same breathe as the likes of Kobe. It's ridiculous! But it's even worse than that. On the one hand SGA is flopping his way to MVP's, on the other side Lu Dort and his cohorts are allowed to mug the opposition. If they were getting away with one thing that would be bad enough, but it's almost impossible to play them straight. You can't foul them, but they can foul you! WTF???

And they don't even need to do it! They're actually good enough. But it's noticeable that the better whistle in the playoffs is lowering SGA's PPG. Funny that!

They will find a way not to get it done.. I would not invest a lot of stock in the Knicks winning the finals.. they have way too many flaws that will get exposed by a good coach and team.

This is the danger of putting too much stock with what the "pundits" are saying when said pundits are hot take talk show hosts with clear agendas. This isn't about whether Shai flops or not but the idea that his PPG is down mainly because of the whistle and not because he's getting double teamed by the Lakers on quite literally every possession (as in, every single one) to force the ball out of his hands is shallow analysis but that's what to be expected from the likes of Nick Wright. And this is not a Jordan/Kobe situation where they get doubled on the block or the help comes on drives. It's a situation where he gets picked up full court and the double comes at half court to force it out of his hands. To their credit the Thunder have been great at punishing that when they get the 4 on 3. Sometimes we just need to watch the games. Modern defenses have changed a lot particularly over the last few seasons. Guys are adapting accordingly.

By the way, at the time you posted this, Shai was averaging 30.8 points in the playoffs on 55% shooting. So I don't know, it feels like Nick is spewing propaganda cause he's on the Luka > Shai train, which might be a defensible opinion if he weren't so blatantly misleading about how he presents his arguments.

Shai scored 20 on 54% shooting in this recent game against the Lakers but he only played 28 minutes due to foul trouble (the 4th foul being a god awful call by the refs). So yeah, Shai flops. No more than Luka or Brunson but he's become the posterchild for this which is fair. He made that bed. He gets to sleep in it. The analysis about him by the mainstream pundits (not actual NBA analysts who watch and understand the X's and O's though) is so ridiculously disingenuous though. Don't put too much stock into what a Klutch payroll pundit is saying about basketball.

I actually listen to First Things First as background noise at times cause they have good chemistry and are entertaining but I'm definitely not putting stock into their actual basketball analysis.
