Ok, you can use the soft version "dislike" if you want. I guess that even I, a professional hater, don't actually hate any player.

In my case, there is a tie. I do not know if I dislike more Agassi or Hewitt. They are miles above the rest. Then there is Murray, and another ocean between him and the rest.

Fro the current crop, Tsitsipas for sure. But it is 50% dislike, 50%... how can I say this in English, that feeling that you have that simply makes you shake your head in disbelief...

And, yes, this is a selfish, pathetic little thread, the opposite of anything anyone could be proud of. Good to vent our bad feelings in a way that harms no one (assuming hated players are not reading this. In case you are.. get a life, sucker).

Venting is good one way to get your 'dislike or hate feelings"which maybe bottled up for sometime, good for the soul!

On the top of my list is, for current players is,
Zverev, who constantly blames everyone and the kitchen sink for his failings. His game is boring and his fhand is pathetic, he has done nothing to improve it over the years, and he has had some very good coaches.
Corentin Moutet, a Brat and his terrible behaviour on court, frequent outburst, shouting at umpires, engaging with fans, and throwing racquets. I feel he has a "Napoleon Complex".
Gaston, repeated acts of unsportsmanlike conduct, his on court behavior is just 'cringe worthy and immature.
One player from the past, that I cannot leave out,
Dubbed " The Most Hated Man in Tennis" Marcel Rios', he was cold, rude and offensive to fans and media alike

Didn't we have a hate thread back in the day? I'm sure we did. Now, I'll have to satisfy my curiosity by finding it. I won't say hate, but I will say some players annoy me to no end. Djoke, Zed, Tits, Nicky, Svitolina, Bencic, Iga

I am pretty sure I started one myself! But that was a general one, you could put there anything you hated. This is directed to people, which is the best kind of hatred.

Maybe there was yet another, but I honestly don't remember. If there was, shame on you all for letting it sink into oblivion!

hmmm... interesting thread concept. I generally don't dislike players, but there are things that certain players do that I find annoying. But there are exceptions...

I outright dislike Iga Swaitek with some of her antics on court.
Justin Henin I might loathe most of all because she was a bit of cheat sometimes
Raonic, for known reasons, and no redeeming features in his game.
Novak ball bouncing

I need to think.. .I'm just getting started.. :face-with-symbols-on-mouth::lol6:

Same as everyone above, I don't "hate" but dislike certain things players do. The list is too long for the WTA, which I mainly watch. Within the group of active slam winners...

Jannik Sinner (doping ban, preferential treatment): players in different sports almost always have contamination excuses ready. For example, relatively recent contamination explanations for Haddad Maia, Halep, Swiatek, and Yastremska were all eventually accepted. Sorry I found this particular excuse to be ridiculous, but YMMV

Iga Swiatek (gamesmanship, sore loser): anything to win, including not acknowledging double bounces. For tactical improvements, perhaps she could consult Djokovic for acting lessons and Sabalenka/Banshee for noisemaking tips

Honorable mention to Emma Raducanu (off-court comments, coaching merry-go-round): Bouchard 2.0

But you do plan to forgive him after some time, say something like a century after his death, right?

And of course I had to Google his name....

Maybe...I'm just now forgiving Anthony Wilding for his untimely death.

Djokovic, for many reasons, on and off the court. The more one you dislike wins, the more you hate them, so my animus is huge. At this point, probably the most irritating thing about him is that he refuses to go away. By which I don't just mean retire, but I mean stop playing really well. The old bastard is still #4 in the world, FFS! Thank god for Alcaraz and Sinner. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Of current men, no secret that I despise Zverev, and Tsitsipas is farther behind, to me, in dislike, but he's SO bloody irritating. Past ones, Jimmy Connors was always hard to like, and I never liked Boris Becker.

Current women: I used to like Iga and Naomi, and now they get on my nerves, though I still root for Osaka. Past ones: as @Federberg mention, Justine Henin. For the cheating, but also she was always just downright prickly and unlikeable. Beautiful OHBH, though. And she played WAY above her size.

@mrzz: I don't see your list. I'm pretty sure I know at least one. ;)

I havent posted the women I dislike,
Sharapova, the way she turned her back went up near the ball kids, looked at her racquet then came back to serve, it was bloody annoying and she should have been called out for the amount of time it took for her to serve, and also the 'evil eye' she gave to her opponents, and she was a 'bitch' in media, refusing to answers questions she didnt like and said 'Next"......

Henin, seen her play live on clay she was incredible, played well above her weight, BUT, she was a Cheat, and quite frankly didnt have much confidence in her ability, always looking at her coach in between points.he always gave her hand signals....

Iga Swiatek, her on court behavior gamesmanship, including tactical bathroom breaks, slowing down play, waving her arms at the net, bad loser, also breaks down in tears...........enough

Emma Raducanu, who is the female equivalent of Zverev, whinger, one grand slam wonder, blames everyone else for her failings and goes through coaches, since turning pro she has had 9 coaches, after her loss at the AO, it seems Roig her current coach maybe looking for another gig

I don't hate anybody based on my interpretation of the word (and I know @mrzz is a little tongue in cheek with this stuff) but here goes...

Nadal - used to irritate me, largely because of his antitode to Federer - so fanboy rivalry definitely is a major factor here. I've warmed to the bloke's legacy since he retired - but if I use Squash as an allegory - Nadal was the Jansher Khan to Federer's Jahangir Khan. One is the attacking "make things happen" to the other one's absorb and counter punch. That may seem harsh to Nadal but it was the way I felt. I love aggressive attacking intent.

John Isner - I just felt pain and the life being sucked out of me when I watched this bloke. I had the same feeling watching Reilly Opelka the other day. That slow hangdog expression between points. Everything seemed painful... even wiping his face with a towel seemed like an effort.

Raonic - As above but not quite to the same extent - but I found the lack of sportsmanship an issue. And I'm being kind.

Never particularly warmed to players like Davydenko, David Ferrer etc...

On the women's side - Monica Seles. The excessive grunting. Plus everybody handing her hypothetical slams she never won on court. Sure, the stabbing was awful, but a fit Graf was a better player anyway.

Serena - I liked Serena when she was younger but not when she got older. Her attitude toward officials sucked down the track.

Justine Henin - For reasons other have already stated. Like her backhand though.

Naomi Osaka - Seems to prod and provoke and then fall back into victim mode.

There is a short one in the OP. But I can save you the effort, as I like to repeat it: Agassi and Hewitt.

That one you think you know was removed from the list of (active players) I hate. I decided I am a bigger man and that I forgive people. And the rumors that he bribed himself out of the list are completely false.

@britbox , it is 50% tongue in cheek and 50% showing the tongue (definitely including a prominent "brrffffttt" sound).
