Stef won the 1st set 63, FAA has had his chances in this match, but Stef has played the big points better,
Stef breaks and will serve for the title leading 5-3

I think FAA looked a bit jaded in the 2nd set,, though a solid run to the final.

FAA is having a good year, and I feel good about where he's at. It happens to 99.9% of players: early expectations disappoint, and then they find their true level. People consider, say, Gasquet a disappointment, but he ended up having a very good career (in the larger sense of things). According to UTS, he's 96th in GOAT points and 92nd in peak Elo. That means that there are fewer than 100 players who had better careers than him in the Open Era. Similarly with someone like Grigor Dimitrov (who ranks a bit higher than Gasquet, but still outside the top 75). I suspect FAA will end up with a similar career to those two. Right now he's about #150 in both GOAT points and peak Elo.

I blame Babycakes for Tits resurgence. He had opportunities to put the Greek away (where he would have slumbered in mediocrity). But due to his crap return, multiple BP's went begging.
