He ain't gonna be 100% but it will depend on how effective the stronger antiinflammatories meds are.If Nadal is back to 100% and is able to serve strongly then he will win this title.

So how injured would you say Nadal was when his team were telling him to retire and he proceeds to win 3 more sets? Bit rich calling bs on Djokovic as a Nadal fan...Yeah, let's not forget how Djokovic supposedly won an AO title while nursing a "2.5 cm abs muscle tear". I doubt that it's true because technically with such a tear you shouldn't even be able to serve at all, but I guess it means that "anything is possible". lol

If you say so lol. The painkillers work the same for everyone, not just Nadal. There's such a thing as adrenaline and ibuprofen. Yes, it was only Djokovic who faked the whole thing. Delusional much ? Nadal played all of RG with his foot "asleep" as he called it but you keep doing you and calling bs that Djokovic couldn't take similar medication. His team wasn't telling him to retire, his dad was telling him to take a medical timeout and leave the court to have some treatment. He clearly had a quick checkup and some painkillers and eventually they kicked in and he felt less pain.
The difference with Djokovic is that it's IMPOSSIBLE to be serving and winning a slam with a 2.5 cm abs muscle TEAR, so that story was clearly bogus or fake. Maybe he was bothered by something but it wasn't a 2.5 cm TEAR. Or he just faked the whole thing.
Clearly Nadal doesn't have a muscle TEAR but simply some discomfort that hopefully will get better after 1-2 days rest. If he has an abs muscle TEAR he will retire in the next match not keep playing and winning. Have a nice day!
I think you said earlier that you weren't able to watch? Or maybe you could? It was clear that Nadal was hampered. Hopefully strain, not tear. Apparently he's having an MRI tomorrow. But Novak said he had an ab tear, and proceeded to win 4 more matches, including over 3 big servers. You can draw your own conclusions there. But don't be pointing the finger of "a bit rich," because Fed fans have not been above blaming losses on injury, either. Just took later in the career. So how injured would you say Nadal was when his team were telling him to retire and he proceeds to win 3 more sets? Bit rich calling bs on Djokovic as a Nadal fan...
I don't blame losses on injury for Federer. I think they should stop MTOs as they're bs and then all the players in history who got injured would have just lost. It'd be better for the sport. Tough shit on the fans but it stops the fake MTOs and abuse of the frankly poor system that allows for momentum ruining cheating on many occasions.I think you said earlier that you weren't able to watch? He played a big server today and won in 5 sets and over 4 hours....Nick looks, for once, like a man on a mission. And, whether Front believes it or not, Nadal has an ab issue. Bad news against a big server. I will either vote heart, or not vote, but I'm having a hard time seeing Nadal getting through this one. Kyrgios has a lot on his plate, and he's in new territory, so there is the question of how much he can hold it together. Nadal's only chance is to get right up on Nick fast, and see how much Nick can get in his own way.
Yes, you do, actually. 2019 v. Dimitrov, USO. 2017 v. Del Potro, USO. 2017 v. Zverev, Canada. Just off the top of my head. I did ask you if you watched the match today, which you didn't respond to...did you? Nadal only took one MTO, and it was clearly needed. I think both players were seen by the trainer at the changeover before the 5th. I don't see how eliminating the MTO would improve the sport. Everyone wants the players to be competitive as they can be. And very few people see them as abused as you do.I don't blame losses on injury for Federer. I didn't blame injury on those at all. I said he ruined his chances by playing with a knee issue. His fault for entering the events injured. He didn't get injured during them but before.Yes, you do, actually. 2019 v. Dimitrov, USO. 2017 v. Del Potro, USO. 2017 v. Zverev, Canada. Just off the top of my head. Fritz isn't all serve...how many aces today? I'm not saying Nick isn't a threat in all cases, to all the top players, and he has beaten Nadal here. But you can't say how that other match would have gone if Nick weren't being so self-destructive the night before. Because he is plenty capable of being self-destructive on the tennis court, as well, so that wasn't a gimme. He played a big server today and won in 5 sets and over 4 hours....
Re this semi, as is common knowledge, the last time they played Nick had been out drinking till 4am and his agent had to drag him home and he still won a set and took 2 others to tiebreaks so if Kyrgios wins, it's not down to any injury. He could have done it before if he wasn't a clown out drinking early into the morning, waking up hungover and not practicing.
He has a good FH too but I watched the clips and his tactics were poor. Nadal made slice approach shots and Fritz didn't even approach the net to finish them off and didn't target Nadal's BH while he was supposedly hampered moving to his right. As I said, he's a cabbage and that's why it was correct to say he had no business losing that. Anyone with decent tennis IQ would have won that.Fritz isn't all serve...how many aces today? No I'll leave this one go but for once I'd expect both to win a set here. Nick ruined things today for me (no big deal, only a small stake anyway) and I'll hold off till Newport and make some money back on Van Rijthoven there.Fronty
Are you going to bet on this match between Nick and Rafa?
Wise thinking , not betting on the matchNo I'll leave this one go but for once I'd expect both to win a set here. Nick ruined things today for me (no big deal, only a small stake anyway) and I'll hold off till Newport and make some money back on Van Rijthoven there.
Nick could win in straight sets or the opposite. You just never know with him.
