OK, for Rotavirus (I'm no medical expert and haven't even heard of it)... how many people have died from a vaccine jab? I'm not trying to pull you up in particular, just looking for some arguments reasoned with data.
I cannot answer that, I am afraid no one can.
How many died of for example Rotavirus diarrhoea ? Or Flu? Is the virus the main reason or the co-morbidity?
The paediatrician will recommend it for sure, you have to save your baby otherwise.... Blabla : I don’t know how it is paid in the world -leading- supercountries like USA or GB, in south-east Europe, Austria and Germany it is good paid for easy/quick work.
How reliable is the advise of the doctor under these circumstances?? Just an example.
Like for everything in life you have to make your own decision, use your head /logic and experience from people who you trust.
But scepticism is appropriate.

I’ve been reading about mathematical models for the virus, and have come to the conclusion that most sporting events will be canceled until a vaccine or cure is found. I wouldn’t be surprised if no tennis tournaments are played unless it’s without spectators. As soon as countries lift the lockdown, the virus will spread like wildfire. Read the article yourself if interested by googling
A call to honesty in pandemic modeling

A prime example of a country who did lift their lockdowns lately was Singapore and now have to put those restrictions back in place.
Personally you have to go very slow when you decide to lift lock downs because it will spread again sad to say.Though in saying that you cannot lock people up forever, mental wellbeing is another very important factor.

More people die of vaccine than disease? Care to run me through some numbers to support that theory? I'm pretty open-minded and sceptical about a lot of Big Pharma, but some claims move into the realms of fantasy. Maybe start with measles... go ahead and make a case.

Good luck Baron both of these poster's are complete nut jobs regarding any thing medical lol!

We have anti-vaxxers in the forum. Wow. I suppose you believe the earth is flat, too.
How about polio? The Salk vaccine didn’t help? Please think before posting comments that reveal your ignorance.

There is no point talking to these 'nut jobs' they are on their own agenda.I too have met people that done believe in vaccinations and believe they will kill you? I just shake my head in disbelief.

it is always a matter of weighing up benefits and risks.
generalizing and intolerance is more destructive.
Sheep are stupid animals, even the ones who work in the health business. Should know it better and more differentiated.

Christopher Clarey just tweeted,

Record tallies frozen during the enforced coronavirus break as well. That means Djokovic is still at 282 weeks and won't resume adding weeks until the tour starts up again. For now Federer still on top 310.

Wimbledon reportedly paid $2 million a year for pandemic insurance for the last 17 years (total $34 million). For this year's cancellation as a result of the coronavirus,Wimbledon will reportedly receive $141 million from the policy.
I'd be surprised if the USO doesn't have that kind of insurance

I can check and get back to you,the insurance only came up because of the cancellation of Wimbledon.

This is part of an article from the New York Times dated April 3, written by tennis journalist Christopher Clarey regarding if the USO had insurance in the event of a pandemic.

"It is not believed to have insurance that would cover most of its losses during a pandemic'.

That would be the case 'if' the USO had to be cancelled. At present it is still on track to be played.

That's what I was thinking , the Tournament is not cancelled yet but if does I'm sure they would be well covered

Do you really think that doctors advise vaccines because they make more money? That seems pretty distrustful. So you think common sense and the advice of friends is the way to go? Then you may enjoy this. It's a comedy show, but full of common sense, and very very funny. Anyway, @britbox should enjoy it. (It's a full half hour, but what else have you got to do? LOL.)

I am not thinking this , I know.
It is sad. But it is all about the money.
Espacially the pediatricians are not paid well. We have to look differently on the ambulant sector and the Hospitals, the way they earn money is not comparable.
For doctors in their own office it’s like an ordinary medium sized company. They have to run it under economic standards. They went long to school and begun to earn money very late.... rest is human.
As a medical professional you treat your family and friends not the same way as you treat or advise the crowd, at least for basic stuff. Hopefully this isn’t the case in lifethreatening moments, but who knows.
Contrast agent for MRI is another good example. If you have to get an examination, your chance of getting an infusion is very high, no one tell you it is often useless, but if you know how much money a radiologist earns with this, you will think twice to accept that.
You cannot know all the variables, we have to be believers, more or less.
You can translate that to other sectors like bank industry or the holy church. Nothing else.
You can take that to the bank, or not.
I hope you have enough people you really trust for advices in areas you don’t know well!

This is not about money, it's about science. And it's not about taking an opinion poll amongst your friends. We're talking about vaccinating yourself and your children to keep the community safe. I am not at all clear what about that makes you hesitate. Mile is a freak, obviously, but you seem like a sensible person. As to childhood vaccines: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)...easily anhilated via vaccines. They're not just mild childhood diseases. Measles is a wildly contagious disease. 90% contagion rate, if you're not innocculated. It can cause deafness, brain injury and death. Mumps also causes deafness, and sterility in adult men who get it. Rubella can cause profound injury to the fetus of pregnant women who catch it. All can cause death in small children. The down side? There is basically none. Doesn't cause autism, OK? That's an internet myth. The doctor who started that rumor is no longer a doctor because they took his license away.

Flu shot: protects a lot of people. It doesn't contain every strain every year, because they make a best guess as to what will break out the next flu season. But it doesn't hurt you, and you owe it to your community. Not for you, young, healthy person. It's for the very young, the very old and the immuno-compromised.

When you go to third world countries or places where there is contagion, and they suggest that you take a shot for Hepatitis-A, or typhoid, do you turn it down?

COVID-19: Let me ask you...when they develop a vaccine for this one, will you decide that you and your family aren't having it? Think about that and then tell me how you feel about vaccines.

For the record, I've had all of them. Now, you might say that's what's wrong with me. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Thank you Moxie,No it is not about the Money at all, this poster has a very distorted view of the medical profession full stop.
Physicians take the Hipporrcratic Oath before beginning their medical career on the wards.
I could be making 3 times the amount I do today if I went ahead and became a Lawyer, but I chose to work in a hospital ward for 1 month without pay to see what is was like.I was hooked.I have worked all over the world with incredible doctors and nurses who I have held in high esteem and would trust them with my life.I have taken different courses in my 40 years in the medical profession.
I have the best job in the world I help and have delivered many babies come into this world. It is the most rewarding career Ever,of course with every job it has had its sad times, overall I would not swap it for any other career.I feel sad for people that have to look at a dollar sign regarding their job, they must go through life sad and bitter.Regarding vaccinations for babies it is a Must, and onwards.,I have seen what young children can go through when they are not vaccinated.

No dear, at the end all is about money. See why Wimby did cancel it and RG cant. Its all about $$$. See USA situatiion - even in hospital is "pay per say". Collapse of their medical system - they say American dream, which you can see just while dreaming.

In the end it is all about the money. That is how capitalism works!
US and A or GB should know this the best Lol.

Please read carefully what I wrote.
It started reasonable , like MMR for example. Rotavirus vaccine is bullshit in my eyes because of risk- benefit - ratio. We can talk about every single of them and put in on scales. But wait.. let’s not waste time, we are both adults and made our conclusions already.
but nowadays it becomes a monstrous business, overwhelmingly influenced by the industry which benefits the most financially.

My point isn’t to deny benefits of some vaccinations.
My point is use your brain and don’t believe every bullshit the government Tell you.

What you write shows me you read a lot, but you have no insight look at these things, that’s also obvious.

what is mostly laughable for me is Margaretes post about the oath of Hippocrates : How naive can an adult person be?
ARE WE REALLY LIVING ON THE SAME PLANET ??

Covid-19: If I have the choice no. But most likely I will not have a choice.

Look how quick they work on these vaccines, the standard procedure is thrown away. In China they already began testing, would you like to be one of the first who receive this vaccine, for a flu like disease? Good luck with that.

I receive most of them too, like my kids by the way.
I would never say something is wrong with you, how could I! That’s part of tolerance that I live.

This is all well and nice, you can count yourself lucky to earn money with something you really like to do.
Most of us have done many things out of mercy, and we should continue to do so in the future.
But the bottom line has to be a positive number in case of Euros or Dollars.
But in the end you do it for money, you would not do it for free. Which is absolutely legitime.
How much you make is not important.
You worked 40 years, so you have to be nearly 60 years old or older? Wow you must have a really nice life when you still can be that naive.
I am happy for you.
