Unbelievable , I mean ...... WTF?
My first thought was, wow he certainly isn’t the only guy!
I'm unclear as to why you're so astonished. Are you being cynical, and saying that it must happen all the time? Or even more cynical to say that why should they even bother sanctioning it? Are you OK with match-fixing?

He is 31 years old. Life time ban hardly matters to him, I suppose.
Your reply is as incomprehensible as Bonaca's. You don't care he was fixing matches? Also, don't you think 31 is young to be unable to ever make more money at tennis? I'm not sure about the rules, but I think that might prohibit him from coaching, as well.

Of course, I do care about match fixing. All that I am saying is that the lifetime ban is not going to hurt him badly. Apparently, he was doing it for a long time. On top of participating directly, he was even recruiting other players to fix their matches.

I just don't see how you don't think a lifetime ban won't hurt him badly. No more playing, on any level, and probably real limitations on coaching. He probably left school to play tennis. What's he going to do now...sell insurance?

Of course, tennis administration cannot give any greater punishment. But, I think these people should serve some time also.

In jail? Based on what international tennis match fixing laws? Forget it. All there is is the ITF.

What is unclear to you?
Of course I’m not. It’s cheating. Life time ban is one thing but he should also be punished by federal law because of criminal.

Yes, it is Souza, a Brazilian player (João Sousa is the one that lost in AUSOpen R1 to Delbonnis and could potentially play Nadal is Portuguese). He vigorously denies the claims that he manipulated results and/or received money for it, but does not deny that he tanked matches. The match in question he was beaten 6x4 6x0. He is a known "tanker" and was repeatedly punished for that.

The highlight of his career is taking part in the longest match of Davis Cup history and second longest match in tennis, that he lost against Argentinian Leonardo Mayer.

Go Martina & Maccy!
I knew about Martina's anger towards Court (apart from common sense she's got personal reasons for it) but Maccy joined her in a totally non-personal support of a good cause. Well done guys! The recognition of Court, the most pathetic one in tennis world, must cease, sooner or later, if one is to believe in right ethics surrounding said world.
Maccy's flamboyant comments should also help this cause. Keep commenting Johnny Mac, until TA officials, who are "not serious" ATM, finally understand that your & Martina's play is "on the line", and the arena name should be changed.
