After owning Roger for most of their careers, it appears it's been Djokovic that has been the GOAT's best ally keeping Nadal's resume in check so far! He's eaten into a lot of majors and clay events Rafa could have inflated his record with! Roger should be rather thankful because things might have been very different but for our savior of tennis history, NOLE! :p  :ptennis:

Basilashvili takes out Sock. I saw only the end, but I really enjoy watching Niko play. He hit 2 awesome winners in the TB on Jack's serve.

Looks like the serve clock is affecting Rafa's serving rhythm. He is used to dawdling on the court. I hope they enforce the rules strictly.

C-dal mowing down the cupcakes in a couple hours. I liked it more when he'd struggle for a few hours in early rounds.

And his next opponent for the round of 16 is either Babashivilli or Pella. Draw from hell!

So Nadal is now Tiger's friend. Tiger used to be friends with Roger (maybe contrived). I think the friendship ended after Tiger's scandals.

Very good played by Nadal, only in the second set he had a little problem with his serve but in general good service, forehand, volley etc etc etc, everything worked pretty well and I hope much better in the next round

At least Tigger looks now more decent than a few years ego

Sorry, I wanted to say ended (not needed) after Tiger's scandals. Nothing wrong with him being Nadal's friend in my opinion.

Nasal is a golfer. Roger was a manufactured friend via IMG.

Dislike how he plays and his miserable demeanour. Always complaining to his box and cursing all the time. I curse a fair bit myself and wish I didn't but it's pretty terrible when it's a famous tennis player. Anyway, one more point.
You apply different standards to "a famous tennis player" and to youself. Why is it so? Is "the GOAT" title next to your avatar name meaningful? I noticed, people on this forum are given various tennis titles according to their experiences. Your title suggests you're very experienced and very revered here, at least like Murray (or better, like Fed or Nad) in real tennis. So, given your equably "famous" status here, as a consequence, you should apply equal standard to youself and Murray. So, you should scold youself for your "pretty terrible" cursing.
If you chose not to scold youself, then stop scolding Murray because in such case you have no rights doing so. I don't care how you chose to behave and I even respect your choice (though I have to turn off my attention to avoid negative feelings it excites) but I hate when people apply double standards to themselves vs the others.

Can everyone stop insulting Nadal in crude and childlike manners.
These are the main reasons as far as I can tell.
A: Potential Doping. There is no real evidence of this. Please stop from this until allegations become serious. By doing this you delegitimize all the results. If Nadal took the record I would rather it be fair than via doping. His doping would be worse for the sport so I don't know why you seem hopeful about it.
B: Style of Play. If you don't use a style that will allow you to win with millions of dollars on the line than you are simply an idiot. I know some of you are angry at the court speeds, but if so do you expect Nadal to skip slow tournaments. This is the directors fault not Nadal's. I bet you a million dollars that every other player on the tour would play like Nadal (except Djoker, Federer, Kyrgios and Tomic) if it led them to his success levels.
C: Going to Catch Federer: Perfectly legitimate reason to root against him it's all your heart, but that can be done respectfully.
D: Personality. He seems to be humble and nice and he has never broken a racket so I don't see a problem here. Sure has some eccentricities, but that doesn't make him a bad person.
E:Time Wasting. Really. Really. You can complain, but does this rise to the level of name calling. It has nothing to do with success and everything to do with his routine. I agree he should go faster, but you wouldn't care if Roger wasted time. That wouldn't be a big enough problem.
The only thing that could disprove my argument (that I can think of) is if doping allegations were proven, but as far as I can tell there is zero evidence besides the fact that he is muscular and lasts long times on the court. Have you ever thought that some people are better in this way than others. There is variance and the reason he is at the top is partly because he falls on the right end of the spectrum and has incredible competitiveness and the heart of a champion.
Even if all these things are disproven to you and you have great counter points there is still no reason to use crude language towards him.

On a related note Federer is also not the bad names Federer "fans" call him. You can have bad days without being an idiot. I feel that he will motivated by his losses and come out strong this tournament and could beat Djokovic. Djokovic still looks shaky. All Federer has to do is improve his return.
