Fine. The definition difference between a Fed fan and a Rafa fan. If it doesn't sound arrogant to your ear, you'll never understand why he irritates the other half of the tennis world.

Yeah you don't like him because he's brutally honest and it comes off as arrogance. It has nothing to do with the fact he's a greater player than Nadal I'm sure.

That comment only can come from a hard Federer fanboy, very ugly and silly and out of context.

And now for something completely different. After winning this five Sutter last night, to go with his five set victories in Australia, what is Rogers five set record now? Somebody around here can find out immediately. Every time I look at usually three or four years old.

The match replay has finished right now on TC but I suppose they will show it again during the day. With ups and downs Tiafoe gave a hard time to Roger, only his inexperience made him to lose his serve in last game, he looked too anxious.
Anyway Roger's back looked pretty well after to play almost three hours, 17 aces and looked less tired than his opponent being this one a lot younger

What about it is fanboyism? Moxie has been telling me for years the only reason I hate Nadal is due to his H2H with Federer

Tiafoe played great I didn't expect him to bother old Mr Vavrinec so much, it was a good match, very entertaining

That's why Roger is the GOAT..most fit and best tennis player ever..probably the smartest

He was helped by a rubbish Roger. He did not convince me yet.
For some reason you are harder on Frances than you are the others..When he has made it to the big stages(US Open, IW or etc) vs the likes of Federer, Isner and others he has fared well. However, his record is probably poor against that a close to his current ranking. That tells me he needs a big time coach to clean up his game.

We can't go back down the Roger versus Rafa road again. There is no easy answer when it comes to the head to head. Both tremendous and a credit to the sport. I really hope they square off again here in New York but I get the feeling it is not as likely as the odds-makers are saying. Something tells me one of them falls before the semifinals.

I think they are doing this for my benefit, a sort of welcome back.:dance3:

I wish I were getting to catch more of these matches. Internet in my new apartment is shoddy...

Sadly, I agree Nadal and/or Fed won't get to the semi round.

There's a reason they never got to play at the USO; usually Rafa didn't make it to his appointed round with The GOAT! Roger won the thing 5 straight years in his prime; Rafa not only won it only twice after that when Roger eliminated by NOLE, he had some horrible losses including dropping a 5 setter to F3 after being up 2 sets to love! This is why Rafa will NEVER BE the Goat IMO; weak at 3 of the 4 majors while the other top players have had more balanced careers! :fishing: :ptennis:

Fed was horrendous during set one against Tiafoe. I'm afraid Kyrgios will beat him. Terrible draw for Fed this year.
