This is a much stronger field than last year although a lot of players are the same! Goes to show you how some of these ladies have improved.

What? an ITF event and Simo #3 in the world doesnt even get a bye?..
Too hard before Wimby. Tank it Simona! Beck and Petko in R2 and R3. No thanks.
Those Dutch should have given her more respect  (tongue in cheek but still..)

With the fresh Petko and the new girls Genie and Mugu its just as good as Eastbourne.

Not all tournaments give the top players byes. Lots of the smaller ones, such as this, don't have a draw big enough to make it realistic. It has nothing to do with the Dutch disrespecting anyone, nevertheless singling out Halep.

Welcome back Si

Hi there. modes...
Although I would definitely vote for nista as a Moderator(if that's what you mean), I doubt she would accept.
I have problems getting her to start threads, if you know what I mean.

I am really interested in this, this is a real exciting line-up for me, as much as Eastbourne.
The other aspect being the first title defense for Simona.

Simona has received a favourable draw.Simona has shown her game is suited to all surfaces.
I also like Genie's chances in this tournament as well.Genie likes to come forward at the net as much as possible.

1) This is not ITF event, this is WTA, none of 280 pointers have a first round bye, only 470 pointers and above offer that, and not all of those do that either, example Eastbourne.

2) I can't believe a fan would ask the hero to tank, I want her to defend!

3) You are right about that, it's definitely worth more than 280 points they are offering.

I didnt understand anything of your post, and I meant my moods. spelling mistake, not 'modes' but 'moods'.

I hope she tanks it. Just few warm up matches and then a rest before Wimby.

Oh you should. Real fans care only about the big picture ;)

This event is too heavy for Simona just before Wimby. I hope she wont fight too hard for it.
Olga gave her a tough set in Wimby last year, then its a hard work in R2, then its petko, then who knows.. too much work here. She wont be fresh before Wimby, lose the party and wont be shopping in London. Tank it Simo.
But she wont. She wants to keep the title and wont let go of what belongs to her :)
