Nope, I go with the Belgian in three sets. Her game is a more natural fit to the grass and she will run Marion (one of my favorite players) around until she tires and starts to err. Flipkens made 5 UFEs in the entire match against Kvitova--5!!!!!!

If she doubles her UFEs against the Frenchie she will still win. Her slice will save her.

I voted for Bartoli in 2, then read your post, and now I'm thinking Flipkens will win. :-/

Flip is one tough cookie. I remember a match her and Aga played at Miami or IW this year. It went 3 sets and Kirsten had all kind of chances and couldn't close the deal in the 2nd set. Aga hit some around the back shot they played on Sportscenter for days. I think she wins this match and plays in her first GS final. How bout them apples?

I forgot that was Flipkens, but the shot was incredible:

Here I go with Kirsten. Yesterday she was playing exceptionaly well. If she can cope with the pressure she will win in 3.

Bartoli is heavy, she is carrying a few extra pounds,

she may have difficulty with a lean Flipkens but for sure, Marion has experience on her side. She has been here before, although a long time ago.

Flipkens has the better all around game and plays good on grass but so does Bartoli.
This is where Kirsten's ride ends.
Bartoli in 2 is my pick.

Flipkens to me has been the surprise packet soo far in this tournament
I mean in 2012 she could not make the qualifying round at Wimbledon
Flipkens has had injury woes as well. She has a good game on grass
Her bhand slice is a delight.
Flipkens should be soo proud of herself making the s/finals.
I wish her good luck in her match against Bartoli.I have picked her in 3 sets to win.

Flipkens won Junior Wimbledon 2003...so this is not new territory for her.I like her game and to imagine her playing Radwanska in the final..that would be a treat.

I will post this news again on this thread
Just read from TW.Com that Ivanovic has parted ways with Nigel Spears and will team up with Ricardo Sanchez who currently coaches Verdasco.

You made my day Tented - I loved that shot. Didn't she make a tweener in the same match or was it against Bartoli? It's nice to see every time she makes it:)

I go with Flipkens today i think she made a really good match in the quarter so why not today:)

Congrats to Marion Bartoli. She is one of the most akward players I have ever seen: very very weird. It is impossible for me to root for her, but I admire her persistance and mental strength, so congrats to making the final. Let's just hope she doesn't win a tournament that so many better players have not (Henin, Clijsters to name a few).

Agree Denis. The weirder stat of her career is that she has beaten the top Belgian player in the SF for both Wimby final runs.
