This list has been out since middle of May:

http://www.wimbledon.com/pdf/LS_ENTRIES_0527_2014.pdf

It starts with Serena Williams and ends with Heather Watson. 108 names to be exact, read them for yourselves...
Just about everyone in the top 100 is in there.

Seeds will be announced June 18th, Draw is to be held on June 20th.

I will have an early poll coming soon, in about 2 weeks time. For now, this is where you talk Wimby!

Grass season schedule has been finalized. 4 of the top 10 are going into Wimbledon without a warm-up on grass.
The 4 ladies are:
#1 ranked Serena Williams.
#2 ranked Li Na.
#5 ranked Maria Sharapova.
#8 ranked Vika Azarenka.

Everyone else is either playing a warm-up in Eastbourne or Netherlands.

Who will this effect the most?

That is disconcerting. I am picking Serena to win Wimby. A warm up would have made me feel more comfortable with my choice.

part of Maria's domination tour is to win at least 2 Slam in one calendar year. so am picking without any doubt Maria to win her 2nd Wimbys.

Maria is not winning Wimbledon. She needs a slower court that gives her time to create her shots. If she is going to win 2 slams in a year, her best chance would be RG and Aussie. USO and Wimby play too fast for her game right now.

Here are the contenders, IMHO.

Serena.
Li Na.
Masha.
Petra.
I will give an outside chance to Boom Boom, I just like her too much on this surface.

I think Maria's game is OK on grass. Simo, Aga and JJ are more suspect on this surface.

I would have preferred Li Na to have a warm up tournament before Wimbledon
I didnt like her mind set and they way she went out at Roland Garos.

I can't wait to see another week added to the grass court schedule. I personally really enjoy grass play more than any other surface.

I think it's a bit silly to not play a grass tuneup. It's such a quick change I can understand if you're a finalist in Paris but otherwise I think it's smart to at least try to get a in two or three matches the week after RG. Even without the expectation of a win at the lower tournament wouldn't you want to get back the feeling?

I guess I still pick Serena to win. I can't really see anyone else that jumps out at me as having a big chance. If someone else wins I think it will be a bit like Petra's year where it was kind of out of left field.

Yes a warm-up would have better, but it's also an

opportunity for injury

Seriously, if se doesn't pick up her brain from where it was lately, then she will do nothing. Time to get serious which means enjoying Tennis Serena! Ask Simo, she knows how to pick it up. "have pleasure"... ;)
As if Serena needs advice from Simona... I hope she is hungry again. If she is, she will win it.
If not Simona, then Serena will be a good winner for me.

Taylor and Vera are in.

Taylor Townsend and Vera Zvonareva get wild cards.

I am happy to see Taylor receiving another wild card.Taylor's game suits grass
Nice to see Vera, the veteran, receiving a wild card into singles and doubles at Wimbledon...she can play on the grass.Just a shame she had those injuries.
