Safarova and Mattek-Sands just lost in straight sets in the quarterfinals so that ends the chance for a women's doubles Grand Slam.

The chances for Sania and Martina to win has increased considerably now. Sania & Martina were supposed to face BMS & LS in SF had they won.

If Sania and Martina end up winning this will be the first Ladies Doubles GS win for Sania.
